Here where i live it is very serious and it is taken very seriously. It seems like about once a month or so it makes our newspapers where the cops have raided a place that had dog fighting. I am sure by now you have heard of the trouble that The Atlanta Falcons quarterback is in because of dog fighting.

Well in the last few wars the US has gone against countries that really didn't have much of an airforce so there wasn't too many dog fights

I'm not a animal rights nut-job, but I am against all types of inhumane cruelty against the innocent & I think a just punishment would be to put the guilty parties in the pit with the dogs. Or....a year in jail for each dog (how does 55 yrs sound?)

Do you have yet another man or woman around, or are you on my own? while you're on my own, dragging one dogs off by way of the hind legs will in simple terms supply the different dogs the suited hazard to attack her defenseless adversary. Yelling in simple terms encourages them and makes it worse. i've got in no way got here upon water made any difference. And in case you get your arms or physique in between attempting to break them up, you will likely get bitten (by hazard, of course, yet it particularly is of little convenience whilst it happens). the only way i understand of to split 2 dogs who're heavily combating in case you haven't any longer have been given any assistant, is to attach a good leash (chain or no longer truthfully chewed) to whichever one you may and tie the tip to a good merchandise. Then get a leash on the different one. might desire to take some fancy footwork on your area, in simple terms be careful you don't get bitten. Then wait your hazard for a brief separation as they the two look for a greater advantageous carry (this might make the effort, inspite of the undeniable fact that), then YANK the dogs aside and drag one into the domicile or yet another room. And sure, you have gotten to re-domicile certainly one of them. What breed(s) are they? Are they spayed?

Serious enough for there to be a law against it! I can't imagine how people can put an animal through such inhumane treatment, much less bet on it or watch it! They must be very sick people!

It depends on how much an animal rights activist you are.
I think it's barbaric, but certainly not worth the 20 years in prison some of these animal rights nutjobs want.
