Let's say the scenario is that his legal team tries to avert a lengthy and excrutiating court case where all of the details are made public. If their is a plea bargain, what are the legal consequences to such and action. How would this play out for the team, the league and Vick?

I work part time for an attorney, who tells me that "plea-bargaining" is the most effective avenue toward resolution of a legal case.

The "legal" consequences of a "plea bargain" will be determined by the prosecution, the defense, and the judge who is hearing the case.

Public opinion will have nothing to do with a "plea bargain" in the Michael Vick case, nor does it have anything to do with any other "plea bargain". The public is not privileged to know the terms of a "plea bargain".
