Since a minivan/SUV does not have a trunk, is there any portion of those vehicle types that would be considered the trunk?

No trunk searches

Officers may not search the trunk of a car as an incident to the arrest of an occupant.(89) There must be some independent justification for a trunk search, such as consent, probable cause to search, a search warrant, exigent circumstances that justify a warrantless search of the trunk, or a lawful vehicle inventory search of the trunk.

Note that if officers have probable cause to believe an occupant recently committed a crime in which property was stolen or a weapon, mask, or other instrumentality was used, they will probably have probable cause to search the car, including the trunk for such fruits and instrumentalities.(90) Examples: arrest for armed robbery provides probable cause to search for weapon and loot; arrest for DUI-drugs provides probable cause to search for drugs.(91)

Just out of curiosity. I got arrested in November and I recently had just been booked before my court appearance next week. They asked me a series of questions (name, birth date, social security.. etc). I was told to stay in the waiting room for my mugshot and fingerprinting while the desk clerk entered info on the computer. What excatly do they do with the info you give them? Do they check to see if the social security you provide is really yours or do they simply enter all your info for records?

Is it because the jails would be full? I live in a town called MethCalester. It's really McAlester; but with most the drug users in this town making meth in their homes it has that nickname. My neighbor is hooked bad and when he hits his girlfriend in my yard I call the police. They do nothing. At first I thought maybe he's a snitch for them. Or maybe some of the local police are corrupt and don't want to take in their supplier. I work at a prison and I called to see if they heard anything on the scanner. They said the police were laughing about how he couldn't be still and how he had to be on something. By the way the lady is dead now.

Does this get under your skin and if so do you think you may treat the person diferently because of it.

Haven't they been saying for decades now that they want "equal" treatmen (even though they don't really mean it)t? I say we give it to them and throw them in there with the male criminals just to see how long they last!

I was speeding 110/70 on I-75 headed back home to Florida. The cop pulled me over and told me to follow him back to the the station. I guess this was just considered to be a 'written arrest'. I had to post bail that night. Now I'm not one to go around getting arrested everyday. Anyways I'm not too sure what to do. I do know I want a lawyer to represent me ASAP. Does anyone have any recommandations? It was located in Dooley County, GA.
I've tried the GA bar website, but it wasn't very user friendly.
Please no generic answers....do your home work.

I think I saw a flash when I went past a speed radar and now I'm worried that I may have to pay for a speed ticket. I'm thinking about going back to that street to see if there is a camera. Does a warning sign have to present near a photo radar so people will know that a camera may take pictures that result in a speed ticket? If yes, and I go back to that street and there is no warning sign, I don't have to worry and the flash was probably just my imagination right?

I just got a letter with a 2200 dollar check in it. I called and give the confirmation number. I didn't give her any more info but later on I thought about it and it just seems fishy. On top of the letter says

Special Data Processing DBA NME
15120 US North
Jacksonville, FL33764

I need more information about this and if anyone know anything about it please respond.
Thank you

I live in Illinois, and if you are pulled over, when can the copsearch your car? I heard that you must consent to the search, or it wont stand up in court if anything illegal is found. That doesnt sound right. Im not a criminal or anything, just curious :-)
