They just assume you did it, cause it, or started it. I can't get a break!

simon_sainteclaire - of course I went back to my old neighborhood, where else could I go. I just can't move away, first I'm not allowed to. The state taught me computers but do you really think someone will hire me. The best I can do now is wash dishes.

They have a preconceived notion that you are lying, even when you are not.

Well they have to weigh up the evidence and question all the suspects , if you have a track record and some history then they will really want to test you.

If you want to be treated as a honest average citizen then you need to prove that you have become one.

Why do you keep finding yourself a person of interest with the police, my guess is because you have gone back to your old area, your old friends and the same stuff you got put away for is suddenly happening again.

You want a break, then make it yourself, move away , get new friends get a job and leave your old life behind. then maybe they will leave you alone.

Sorry if that sounds harsh but you gotta breakout and breakaway

Cops like most people are lazy. If they come to a neighborhood altercation and one of the people is a convicted felon the easiest thing to do is assume that the felon is wrong and diffuse the situation from that stand point. They are also single minded and often of barely average intelligence so they can rarely respond to a situation in any way other than how they have been trained to deal with it. They are taught to think this way at the police academy.

QUESTION?, Don't you believe in yourself?
Credibility!, how much do you have? My Brother, until you establish a little, you can't. In this day and age a person, once convicted, is guilty of whatever the law (police) says. Until you establish a little credibility, like no problems for say, 2yrs, no
suspicious activity, etc. then your on your way. Sounds like B/S
don't it? But I've been told that alot of cops look at your jacket and
if you've had no contact or problems for awhile that in itself starts the credibility. Know what I mean???

GOD BLESS/GOOD LUCK!

1. Because they don't rehabiitate in prison.

2. Once you've broken the law, you are no longer an upstanding citizen. It's like the first time you get caught in a lie with your parents. They always seem to have trouble believing what you say after that. Even if it is the truth.

Exactly what use, then, is your computer training. People always try to tell you "once a ______ always a _______." and that's just not true. Any debt to society you had to pay, you did. All you can do is prove them wrong. You will get a break from someone, just don't give up. You, and you alone, know your worth, and you are worth something.
Keep trying, don't let anyone, not even yourself, keep you down.

Saying that all police officers don't listen to both sides of a story, is like saying that all ex-cons can't be trusted. It just isn't true.

Statistics show that prisoners released from prison re-offend.

They are just doing their job.. IF you're innocent then you've got nothing to worry about.
