I have a problem - I went to court for a traffic ticket and I was found guilty for an “HOV Ticket” and I requested for a time extension so I can pay ticket later. They gave 60-90 Days and I lost the paper-work they gave me to pay that ticket and now I don’t know where to pay it. I live in Virginia and I already checked “courts.state.va.us” and I found my ticket but I can’t pay it there anymore. I just need to find the Tel. number or website where I can pay that ticket. Thank you =(

My BF was wrongly accused by my child of suspected sexual abuse but was exonerated by both CPS as well as the police sex crimes unit when they found no evidence of any wrongdoing on his part. I believe she was coerced into saying the things she said since nothing that was said had any merit on the situation (ie. I was asleep when this happened, which never occurred since I was always there beside them). We began dating again after the investigation was complete and kept it quiet due to him being a police officer, but then apparently the chief found out we were seeing one another and gave him a warning not to date me or else it would be his job. I want to know if they are able to dictate who he dates since he is an adult and should be able to decide if he feels the relationship is worth the risk (ie. the possibility of my child accusing him ever again), and if there is any merit behind the threat of him losing his job if we continue to date. The state where he is an officer is Alabama.

Does the restraining order cost money? If so to whom? The person filing, or the person being filed against? How about if it is rejected by the judge based on my (the person being filed against) case? Can someone please tell me for California's laws? Thanks :)

First off, I know it seems like I'm some stalker or something in order to get a restraining order placed on me. In fact this is not true. I am a normal guy, who bumped heads with a psycho girl, that is trying to get me in trouble.

There is this female. I've heard that she has recently filed for a restrainign order against me, and as I have researched them, I've found that I'd be the only one to get in trouble even if I was in a place that she happened to come to. I am a photographer in the nightclubs, and seemingly it seems that she is trying to get me kicked out. (?). I have done nothing to her, and she's mad that I am better off than she. I have plenty of evidence (e-mails) showing her threatening me - and not once have I threatened her. Is there anyway to get this restraining order turned the other way against her - even if I present a good case to the judge? or must I file one?

Are there any rules saying that she may not come to where I am? Remember this is for CA. Thanks all :)

I have a court date this Friday to defend a failure to stop (at stop sign). It was a dark, wet, February night. Can I use weather as a defense?

I have called the apartment manger, she gave them a notice explaining the noise rules in the lease agreement. Yet the very next night starting at 10:30 until 3am - techno, rave, and who knows what else is pounding though the walls. I have called the cops (2x's)- they show up and tell them to turn off the music, but they don't show up for 2hrs after I have called. I don't want to have to call the cops every night!
I printed off a copy of the county's noise ordance and I want to post it at the mailboxes and one personally to their door. Will that get me into trouble? Do you have any other ideas on how to keep the noise down? I am loosing sleep!!!!

I was pulled over by a state trooper for speeding in Wisconsin just between Madison and Milwaukee around 1:00am last night. Unfortunately, I'm guilty as charged. But when the cop approached my car his first comment was "Good evening, do you speak English?"

As a second generation Korean American I was a bit offended by the presumptuous question. Is this standard procedure or was this a bit out of line?

A was doing some screening on someone I was about to meet online. I did a reverse phone number search and came up with a name and address. When I looked up the address at zillow it was an empty lot. But it looks like the area is underdevelopment. How did this happen? Is it a computer error or could have this guy really
made up a bogus ID with fake address? Wouldn't the phone company have caught this?

I recieved an e-mail this morning claiming to be from the bank of Africa saying that in the year 2000 a family died in a plane crash and there isn't a next of kin to send 5 million US dollars to and are asking for bank details so that you can make the claim as kin. How many others recieved this. Don't all apply at once, giggle. I took this infomation to the police and there's not alot they can do about this kind of thing so all I'm saying is be careful.

My boyfriend has had more than one offense. He is 17 and will not be 18 until March 15. He has been charged in the past with grand theft auto, possession of/intent, running from cops (this was 3 years ago, at 15). He has benn locked up for 3 years.(for those charges) He was in a group home. He ran away from there a month ago. His cousin dared him to rob a convenient store, so being an idiot he did and got caught. We live in TN. with all of this what could happen. I am also 5 wks pregnant. . .Help, and please dont be negative. I realize who i am in love with and i am wanting to stand by his side and help him thru all of this in hopes that this baby and his stupidity will make him wake up. I've been with him since we were 15. I am not giving up on him yet.

remember he is 17, has already served time for previous offenses, will be 18 in 2 months.
