this was a felony conviction, county jail time served, fines paid. non violent crime. first offense, and nothing since that time (about 17 years ago).

Obtain Form CR-180 (Petition And Order For Expungement (Pen. Code, §§ 17, 1203.4, 1203.4a) and submit the correctly completed form to the clerk of the court where you were convicted. There may be a fee to file the form ($60 in Los Angeles County). The fillable form is available online at www.courtinfo.ca.gov/forms/fillable/cr180.
