depending on the situation the minimum could be 3 years max is life sentence but according to recents facts finding the most life sentence handed out during the last 5 years was less then 4 per year so u need not worry about life time in prison. im gettin the same charges against me so did the research. your solicitor should have told u what to expect n how u should go about pleadin to get time knocked off the sentence, mine did she told me im lookin at 9 years n if i plead guilty can get 1/3 taken off that then i only do 2/3 of whats left n i should be free in left then 3 n a half years. this is uk laws im on about. either way good luck to u

...depends on any previous police record and all that stuff...but that carries a heavy sentence.....i know someone who got 15 years....but it really was aggravated...with a firearm...he was lucky he did not get life for attempted murder...look in the Archibald law books...all you need in those...xxx.....ps...are we in the UK here...if it is the States i have no idea....
