If no charges were pressed against someone but there was a Incident Report and Waiver of Charges signed by the victim, can charges later be pressed or can an officer decide to press charges or take any legal action themselves, just a random thought.

85 year old man beaten, peppered for not pulling over soon enough

85-year-old Man Beaten, Pepper-Sprayed By Police.

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (AP) -- Police said they are investigating an incident in which an officer pepper-sprayed an 85-year-old man during a traffic stop.

Leon Nins said officer Michael Lee also beat him after he took too long to stop his car. Police deny that and say Nins attacked Lee.

Leaders of St. Paul's NAACP chapter and St. Paul African American Leadership Council alleged that race was a factor. Nins is black.

Nins said at a news conference Thursday that he was bringing sandwiches and cupcakes to his wife during his daily visit to her nursing home December 27 when Lee tried to pull him over for having expired license tags.

Nins, a World War II veteran who stands about 5-feet-7 and weighs 145 pounds, claims Lee was angry that he didn't stop his car right away.

if you flash them. Is there any truth to this or is it a total hoax?
Here's the actual email:

DON'T FLASH HEADLIGHTS AT ANY CAR WITH NO LIGHTS ON!!
>
Police officers working with the DARE program have issued this Warning: If you are driving after dark and see and on-coming car with no headlights on, DO NOT FLASH YOUR LIGHTS AT THEM! This is a common Bloods member "initiation game" that goes like this: The new gang member under initiation drives along with no headlights, and the first car to flash their headlights at him is now his "target.
>
He is now required to turn around and chase that car, then shoot and kill every individual in the vehicle in order to complete his initiation requirements.
>
Their intent is to have all the new bloods nationwide drive around on Friday and Saturday nights with their headlights off. In order to be accepted into the gang, they have to shoot and kill all individuals in the first auto that does a courtesy flash to warn them that their lights are off.

Im sorry if that was confusing. This is my problem. My parents have to take my dog off the property in order to renew their homeowners
insurance. They have two choices put the dog to sleep, or give him to someone that wants him. I want the dog, but my mom had been told that if he bites again, as me being his owner, they could sue the previous owners and me. Is that true? And whom can I call to talk about? Humane Society?

Jesse is a black lab/Great Dane, 5 years old and he hasn't been deemed a dangerous dog. He bit one person, and it wasn't even that bad. The man was 70 years old and Jesse jumped up and bit him in the chest, broke a little skin and tore his shirt. The guy seemed more pissed off about the shirt then the dog.
I know all the precautions I have to take when i take him outside, and I am strong enough to hold his back if anything should happen, but then again he has to bite someone else in order for all the suing to happen.

To serve and protect, they say.

Completely respecting the hardships police officers face on a day to day basis, as I am one of the ambulance drivers behind you, have some officers forgotten that people are innocent until proven guilty? I know legally police officers really need no reason to pull you over, or ask you questions, but where has politeness gone? Where has deciency gone? Where has respect for the common man gone?

Yes, I know you deal with scum everyday, but does that give you the right to treat the rest of us like that?

"I can't speak for any other state but NC but here we are allowed to speed. If we are using blue lights and sirens and when we are in pursuit of a violator, even without blue lights and sirens on. Besides you have no idea where that cop might be going or why he might be going fast. Why do people always want to complain about this? Let me ask you a question: if someone was breaking into your house would you want us to get there as fast as possible or do the speed limit???? "

This came from another thread about if officers can speed or not. I was going to ask this myself but since there is already one, here's the deal. Real officers answering questions like these always give out: HOW DO YOU KNOW HE'S SPEEDING OR WHAT HE'S DOING?

No sh1t you know he's speeding. You don't have to carry a machine to tell you. You're not stupid when you're going 65 and he's shooting up from behind you.

They are about 5 feet tall, stainless steel and often found near, or hooked up to, signal boxes at streetcorners. They look like gas canisters. They also have what looks like a light bulb on top. I am asking in this category thinking traffic police may know what these are.

Hi. Say if I were to die somewhere in the world and could not be identified, what would probably happen to my body? Would I be burried, burned or just left to rot? I know its different for different countries, but what would be the most likely event?

I was driving and was a little drunk and got into an accident ad hit a pole. The officer came and cuffed me and I got scared and fled. I need to go to the hospital as my leg is messed up really bad (I think I can see bone) and I have an unrelated infection in my genitals that I need to take care of. That being the case, I don't want to go to jail though. I don't know what to do.

Someone told me that in Minnesota if you are pulled over by a police office you don't have to have your driver licenses with you. Instead, you just have to be able to produce it within 24 hours. Is this true?

Ive gotta take a lie detector test for a jail officer test in GA. I was wanting to know if anyone knows what kind of questions they might ask? Ive been clean off of drugs for 11 months now and sometimes I want to do it again, but sometimes I dont. I havent done anything what so ever in 11 months. Would they ask questions about that? For instance, Do I want drugs? My truthful answer would be sometimes. Are you supposed to answer questions with just yes or no or can it be a sometimes answer? Also I have to go for a phycological test. What would be some questions they would ask in that? Can someone help me, please. Thank you.
