I just got an improper turn ticket. I think that I am still on court supervision for my last speeding ticket. I know that my supervision was almost up...but Im not sure if it is up yet. Is this bad? And also what is going to happen to my insurance rates?

In Illinois, if you get a moving violation citation while on supervision, the one you are on supervision for turns into a conviction and you probably won't be granted supervision on the second. Now you would have two convictions and a third in the same calendar year would mean an automatic suspension of your DL.

law 138 is right...if you can convince the State's Attorney to let you pay a higher fine they may let you off the hook on revoking the supervisionfor your speeding ticket, but you will most likely not get supervision on the 2nd offense, so look for your insurance to go up if they pull your driving record (which they do about once a year when renewing your policy). The SA will pull your driving record before your next court appearance, so it's best to call the prosecutor and attempt to work something out before the day of.

court supervision for "speeding??" If you are on probation for a criminal matter, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you are some type of traffic probation, that may be something you have to worry about. If I were you, and already on some type of supervision, I would make sure that i followed the driving laws a little more carefully
