Now I am told I cannot own a gun to hunt because I swatted him on the rear and my ex-fiance went to the cops and said I "beat" him. I admitted to spanking him and pled guilty. Is there anyway to get my gun rights back? Since this is only a misdemeanor it's hard to believe this can happen.

I recieved 2 tickets in the mail, the cop had written down false information saying I was following too closely and going to fast. He was not even on the scene when it had happened. I know for sure both of these facts are not true. I have to go to court next mo. . I have never been to court for anything, does anyone know what goes on in a case like this, and any advice on the false reasons I got the tickets? Any other advice would be great.
Thank you

It was in the middle of the night, no one was on the road, and I got clocked going 82 in a 65. I am inclined to not pay this ticket, as long as it will not adversely affect my Maryland driving record. What could happen to me if I don't pay this?

My boyfriend got arrested by a NYPD officer because he was riding his bike on the sidewalk. Despite the fact that he was riding at a very slow pace (not quicker than the average pedestrian), he was summoned. On the pink sheet he was given, a date of appearance is mentionned. I think that he has to show up at that precise date. But he understood that he had to show up anytime between now and the date of appearance. What is the right interpretation?

ok...so i was going to a friends party where i was going to be the DD and when we got there somebody was grabbing a lot of alcohol (jack, smirnoff, jim bean, malibu, etc.) so i grabbed a bag of the jack for him and brought it in. I didnt see anyone upstairs so i went to the basement where two deputies had everyone sitting in a group. My parents had to come and get me but i never recieved a ticket. One of my friends said later that i would get something in the mail with a court date for me. I thought they had to tell you if you were being charged at the time you were there. Im still a minor so im not freaking out too bad.

She does have warrants out for her in Marion County, but they are so overrun that they don't consider her a threat. She has a criminal past with at least 20 incidents and that doesn't even include all the bad checks that she wrote. Her bond is set at $5000 SR. I am wanting to know if anyone knows what kind of time she could be facing. This is her first offense for Hendricks county, but as I said she has a lengthly one for Marion county. Will that come into play at all?

I have never been in trouble with the law, and I never been in court. This would be my 1st offense if caught. So what is the worst thing that could happen legally?? Jail?If so, how long? Probation? House Arrest? What is the punishment for the theft of about $900 bucks???

for a ticket I received and didn't pay from more than ten years ago!
I never got any ticket at all; the ticket was for "violation of title" where supposedly my license plate was not the right one for the car that was being driven -
This was before they made it mandatory to turn in your license plates on a dead car - instead of keeping them in a box somewhere in your garage! Obviously, someone stole my old license plate, put it on a car, and then was stopped by the police - all of this, unknown to me, until I received this legal notice today.
I quess the driver, whoever they are, let the cop just think it was me. What should I do?? Is there a statute of limitations for that stuff in PA?? Why would they wait for ten years before threatening me to take my drivers license unless I pay them $350.00??? If they did this 10 yrs ago, the cop would know it wasn't me he stopped. now what do i do?????

I live in Pennsylvania and I have an absolutely impossible neighbor who calls the police on me and my family at least 2-3 times per week, claiming everything from noise violations to child abuse. She even called the Department of Human Services claiming that my son was living in squalid conditions while we had loud drunken parties. DHS came out and found nothing remarkable. She's trying to get me evicted but I can't understand why, seeing as how we've never had any altercations with her before this. What to do?

I mean, the call them Correctional Facilities, but are they really anything more than detention centers? Before anyone takes this question out of context, allow me to make myself clear. The "stated" purpose of prison is to correct individuals who have done wrong, but little actual rehabilitation ends up happening. Shouldn't the prison system put a little more thought into fixing inmates and less into just holding them until they get out and do something to end up back in?

If anyone can help me, great.. I got my Bachelor's in Criminal Justice in December and am in to get my Master's degree and will have it by the summer. I want to work in the internet investigations, catching online predators, other stuff like that. How does one get into that field? Private investigator, something like that? I am trying to network but nobody knows how to get into that field, since it could be a Law Enforcement specialty or special operations field.

It was 10:10pm I just arrived from an air trip and I felt like exercising a little. So I decided to jog around, suddenly as I was jogging a Police cruiser can from the Opposite site with its lights blazing and stopped me, The Police officer asked me what I was running from I said I was jogging , He flung me on top of his cruiser and called for backup. He asked for my ID and I told him it was on the left side of my Jeans, then he asked what was the big stuff in my other pocket, I told him it was my cell Phone, I was made to sit on the floor for several minutes while they ran a Background check on me after the ordeal and him checking me out he finally let me go without as an apology. I asked him why he stopped me in the first place and re replied because I was jogging wearing a Jeans as opposed to a Sweat Pants.( But its cold how does he expect me to wear a sweat pant in the cold). Besides I was wearing an athletic top, Jeans and Jogging Shoes.
Does this here amount to Police brutality

A few years ago in New Jersey, I noticed a police car following my car. I quickly assessed that I was following all traffic laws and made darn sure I continued to do so. After a few miles I went through a yellow light. Got a ticket for running a red light!

Another time I'm driving home with my kids in my minivan when I notice a cop following me. When he continues to follow me after I turn, I get nervous. I turn into the next side street. The cop is still following me. I pull over. He pulls over. Doesn't do anything. After 20 seconds, I pretend I'm getting my kids out of the van to go into one of the houses. He drives away.

Is it common practice for police officers to follow motorists hoping to find an excuse to give them a ticket? I'm a white mother of four driving a minivan on local roads. Particularly because the second cop pulled over when I did and didn't confront me, I now get real nervous when I see a police car behind me and get away as soon as I legally can
