Nothing. Basically. I lived in a house for 5 years until the new half cast neighbours moved in next door. Because they didn't want us around they accused me of racism but they had no proof. Accused me of allsorts. So they decided to install digital sound recording equipment to record me through the walls. They finally got me singing the colours of the rainbow to my kids and because it makes a reference to colour i was arrested and locked up in a cell for five hours and charged with racially aggravated harrassment. Finally, after months of court cases and much distress (not to mention eviction) I was found innocent.
So there really isn't a lot you can do if the law believes them over you.

If you are guilty of any of this, find a good lawyer.

If you are innocent of these things, then do nothing. Take the high road and let the lying neighbor be exposed on the merits of her own lies. Limit your exposure to her, and if someone brings up some allegation, then defend yourself appropriately without attacking the neighbor. In fact, do not mention the neighbor by name.

Just say something like " Yeah, I've heard that same thing from someone else, but I assure you it isn't true".

The more you fret and agonize over FALSE allegations, the more they will be believed. Good Luck

Don't try suing for libel, it is highly expensive and can be a licence to print money for a Solicitor.
The returns are meagre unless you are famous, and often only an apology is received.

However, you can go for a thing called Malicious Falsehood. All you have to prove is that the allegations are false, enough witnesses will prove it is malicious.

The returns again are small, say £2000-00 and is cheaper to take to court. You can also demand a public apology.

What your neighbor is doing is a form of harassment. We are all entitled to free speech, but not COMPLETELY free: repetitive untruthful speech is definitely not covered.

As it so happens, harassment is one of the main bases upon which a restraining order is granted. Speak to a lawyer and see about getting one placed on this woman. This is a better remedy than just ignoring things because it provides you with more legal options if she continues her malicious diatribes against you.

This is actually the whole purpose of restraining orders - to prevent a behaviour that is socially unacceptable even if it doesn't cause you any measurable monetary losses. If she violates such an order, she can be arrested and charged in criminal court. And having an order against her gives you much more credence if you need to defend yourself to other people.

Firstly make sure she is in then remember all the things she's done, get nice and angry.

Kick her front door in, throw a hammer through her TV, push/punch/throw/kick her to the floor stand on her throat and tell her that you don't wanna hear anything about you coming out of her mouth again.

This works even more effectively if you get a couple of mates round to join in the fun.

Most the time you never see nor hear of them again.

Edit: I should add, that accept for the front door and telly it is the threat of violence here that is the key~ don't really go in there to rip them to pieces, use fear not violence.

Edit edit: maybe i should add that this answer is not at all serious- just wanted to sum up how i'd feel in the same situation

I've come across that before, a neighbour who make wild and false accusations (usually to the council).

It's a case of cry wolf. If the claims are investigated and prove false (they will be), then no-one will take any notice of her, and neither should you.

Be kind and polite towards her. Smile, say hello. She'll hate it!

well I dont know lots about the law, however I think that if this were happining to me I would be more concerned about who she is telling this too. If you are an adult and she were sure this was so true she would be at the police dept and they would be contacting you. She may be jealous, mentally ill, etc. As long as sheils not hurting your personal relationships just avoid her. If she continues, I would get a tape recorder if she personally conts you then you have a right to get a lawer to get her for harrising you. ( cant spell it. )

Everybody will tell you, and I agree, that you should ignore her. The police won't arrest you on her baseless allegations. Just be mindful of the law of the state & community, and abide by it at all times. She's waiting for you to slip up.
