I took a polygraph today for a police department. After the test the examiner said I need to ask you a question to one of your responses, and he was about my physical health (before the polygraph started I told him that I had been to the ER twice). I told him I went to the ER twice in the last 10 months one was for tonsilitis and one was Muscolskeletal pain. After I told him that he said "ok". Did I fail??

I live in a small town where big trucks, big motors, and fast cars is a cool thing. I live abt. 10 minutes from the river bottoms where one day my fiance', me,and two other friends were on our way to the mud holes in our jeep. While riding to the gravel roads we had a convertible camaro come up behind us fast and revved his motor and then passed us in a no passing zone. After he did that he slowed down really agging us on but we just passed him and went straight on to where the gravel road began and he tromped down side ways and went around the curve on blacktop. Half way throught the bottoms a sheriff car passed us then turned around followed us abt. 1/4 of a mile then pulled us over cause the off duty officer said we were driving crazy and drinking granted my fiance had just started drinking cause we wasn't coming out of the bottoms we was just muddin and gonna camp there. They charged him with a dui however when they did the second test at the jail he wasn't over the limit?!.

Should a defendent be allowed to defend his own case? Do you think this is a good idea?

My cousin was thrown down onto the cement by several police officers and then arrested for being drunk in public. He was not informed that he was being arrested, nor was he questioned- throwing him onto the cement was the first sign he was being arrested. No one ever read him him rights although he was "interviewed" by the Sargent of the team. The law states that reading someone their Miranda Rights is only required when being questioned about the present crime they may be convicted of but what is the difference between being "interviewed" and being "questioned?" Also, can this charge hold even if his alcohol level was never tested?

I know of a person who preys on women for money through the internet; he can be located & aware of his other alias' also. Is there any federal or state agency out there that looks into complaints and even files charges against such predators?

I rear ended a vehicle that came to a complete stop going 45mph they were in the wrong lane trying to merge on the fwy. I hit the vehicle from the back (the bumper, rear end collision). We pulled over in a parking lot, exchanged information, no police report was made. This was NOT my fault I don't know what to do. I don't feel I should cover the damage to the other partys car (the driver was an 18 year old boy, I am 21 with a clean driving record and he was laughing he gets in accidents all the time) I don't have the funds to fix the other partys vehicle and I don't know how to go about this. Please help!
