it's legal as long as the makers and consumers are of legal age in the participating states and no laws were broken in the manufacture or distribution of the product (ie, kidnapping, rape, bootlegging).

In general pornography is legal and protected under the 1St Amendment. Although the industry isn't completely regulated, there are many laws regulating it's distribution, the models used. The argument that pornography feeds the rapist and child molesters of the world just isn't valid. There have been no studies to support this brazen lie. Although like many other things there is an addiction factor that comes into play with pornography. As with all addictions it can lead to a self destructive lifestyle. Many religious groups have been getting heavily involved in getting laws passed limiting the location of adult based industries, or even banning them inside their respective cities. Many zealots tout that the porn industry is taking advantage of women. Those that participate and model in the adult industry do for any other reason a person works a normal job, to make money and live.

It should be legal for the following reasons: * On grounds of morality, it should be permissible, as it doesn't hurt anyone. Sex between consenting adults is legal, so there's no reason why it shouldn't be legal to film it and show it to someone who wants to see. Provided nobody is being forced to take part, I can't see what the problem is. If you don't like pornography, don't watch it! * Banning it would simply give criminals a greater opportunity to make and distribute it instead, which would increase the risk of unsafe practice and harm to people involved. * A significant fraction of internet traffic is made up of pornography, indicating that, whether or not they'll admit it, the public seems to want access to it.

It is legal, as long as you're 18+ (21+ in some areas) and willing to jump through the hoops that have been set up by the U.S. Government. 18 USC 2257 has made it much more difficult to exercise free speech of an adult nature in the U.S. So I guess it's not really free. Call it "limited" speech, I guess.

As long as he or she is 18 and willing then it's legal. It's protected under the First Amendment (according to the Supreme Court anyway). Those that are into kiddie-porn need to be taken out and shot. I don't want my tax money wasted keeping these perverts alive in prison.

Most of it is legal, what is illegal to collect the proceeds and live off of them. Mind you there are forms of porn that are illegal and so they should be (minors, children for example). When girls get busted, they are usually back on the street the same night or early the next morning, THe john is free to go, embarrassed, but free. A policeman acquaintance of mine, says that if money doesnt change hand, it is hard to charge anyone, you see, sex is legal.

It is legal for adults but its effect is astonishing for its users.....it feeds the child molestors and rapists and all types of perverted people. Its use is a tragedy for America!
