Hi,
I'm in the process of moving out of my parents home into an apartment. My question is i'm currently on informal probation, and i've plead guilty to commercial burglary with a misdermenor. Do you think I will have a problem getting an apartment? On my application i'm going to tell the 100% truth about what i've done.

The only time many of us EVER interact with the police is when they are handing out tickets for minor infractions of the speeding law. Do you feel this gives the police a rather significant black eye in terms of how they are viewed by the general public?

after 9/11 I hear alots talk about we need more security
and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah!!!
that is the reason why I decide to looking for a security officer job
I was thinking is one way to serve my country and do something
for my community well like I already said nobody cares
Security job is a big joke basically a security officer have a major
leak in authority practically ZERO..

Even when you report a drug activity find in some apartment
nobody care include the manager office of the property.

I'm very disappointed how the security company handle the safety of the community they just care to make money nothing else..

I hope in the future to see more professionalism in this job
and more respect for the men and women in the field
because from my personal experience this job is not so easy
how people thinks, need alots patience and good attitude in any circumstance and believe me is not so easy specially when you have to deal with assholes

Is there a reason why there are no 17's? Or 53's?
What do they mean anyway? I know it has something to do with the size of a bullett, but that's all I know. Is it 22 centimeters? Can't be 22 inches!

I am very interested in joining the NYPD to start off my career as a police officer. My plan is to work there for a year or two (maybe more?) and then use that valuable experience and apply with departments in New Jersey. I am not interested in living in NY long term but I will for a few years. Can anyone help me with any possible advice, information, etc? THANKS!!!

I have recently met a wonderful man through a mutual source. We are very interested in each other. He is a Michigan State Police Officer and I am a convicted felon, still on parole for six more months. My crime was non assaultive, and was not related to drugs or alcohol. He has to carry his badge and gun 24/7, which technically makes him on duty. Because he carries a gun, and is on duty, is that a violation on my part. He has checked the policy and procedures at his post and says that it is a very gray area. I know that if he and I were married, then that would be different, but can we date? Does anyone know the laws in Michigan about this?
