Under Arkansas law, if a city writes tickets totaling more than a certain amount they are designated a speed trap and not allowed to write tickets . Contact the state police. Here in Arkansas we have shut dow at least 3 this year that used speeding tickets to get revenue.

Before you try and fight the ticket were you exceeding the posted speed limit ?? Did the speed limit slow down with little or no warning ?? If not then all you are going to do is end up paying for court costs as well as the citation. If the speed limit dropped down with little or no warning then you have a chance. As to who to complain to. Notify the State Police Barracks in that area. They will be able to check it out. If you dont receive a satisfactory answer from them then notify the State Attorney Generals office.

You have not provided enough information. If you have been pulled over for doing 65 in a 45, and the signs did not alert to the change in speed, you may be able to fight it. But there are laws in the State that say towns have a set speed, and if you were in town limits, and no sign saying what speed, you may still be guilty.

Firts of all there is no such thing as a 'speed trap'. If you take your time and go the speed limit so you can enjoy your drive and the scenery you won't have to worry about a police officer hiding in the bushes ready to 'remind' the speeding motorist that they do not have immunity from breaking the law.
Speeding is illegal, GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!

Go to speedtrap.com Look for people that are the victims of this trap scam. Then log a complaint with the state police and the states attorney general. Good Luck!
