I was in the LAPD website...http://www.joinlapd.com/military.html

I would like to know if military experience will help only if you were a cop in the military?

Or will it help as long as i was in the military?
Because it has some cool benefits for ex military personnel. So does anyone know?

My daughter is going through a dangerous divorce and I don't know how to help her. Her husband is stalking her, beating on her, and threatening to take their 2 small children and leave with them. He is in jail right now for breaking and entering her home and hiding under her bed waiting on her to come home. The police are not taking this serious because he keeps getting out and doing the same thing. (He has been in jail 5 times now for choking, beating her, stealing from her, and harrassing her) What can I do to make sure that he stays in jail this time? HIs family keeps getting him out and he is not learning from this. He said that he was going to kill her and then kill himself and he is crazy enough to do just that. I'm scared for her life and she can not get protection from the police. Any suggestions before my husband kills him before he kills her? Please I need some answers quickly.

I know an individual who is currently out of jail on a $4000.00 bond. It was a cash bond meaning someone (not a bondsman" paid the entire $4000.00 cash...to have him released. Well now he is in Texas and is vehemently stating he WILL NOT GO BACK TO COURT. He is facing 3 Misdemeanorcharges of driving on a suspended or revoked license. One of the charges he already been found guilty of contempt because he didnt previously show up.
Is it likely that the authorities will have him arrested if they recieve info he is in Texas once the warrant is issued? In other words...will Florida cops come and get his a$$?????Over a situation like this?

Hi there…
Can I call the police when my neighbors listen to loud music in their cars from 15:00 to 22:00 and drink (beer) on the street of a familiar apartment complex? Or will the police blow me off?
The apartment management doesn’t seem to care and as soon as my lease is due I’m out of here!

Does anyone else find it odd that they don't handcuff this man? That they let him fly business class? It's obvious that this is all fake, with the bogus confession and all the holes in the story, but he should still be treated like a child killer, not a first class thai diplomat.

I've posted about this before, but I need to find out accurate info from real cops/police officers.

A friend (over 18) has a joint credit card with her mom. She never used the card, except this once.

But before she could mail in the payment, her parents saw the transaction history online & threatened to send her to jail for using “their” card. So she got scared & lied. She said she never used it, that she didn’t even have the card anymore.

She's sent in the full payment, but she can’t tell that to her parents (since she denied using the card)

The facts are this:

1.) The credit card was/is a joint account, with 2 cards. 1 card is in the name of my friend, the other card is in the name of her mom

2.) She’s made FULL payment for the item purchased

Now, if THE PARENTS (NOT the girl) report the card as stolen OR misused (fraudulent charges) can my friend be arrested and/or prosecuted for credit card fraud or theft??

I'm confused. Some people say that racial/gender profiling is racist/sexist, but other people say thats it's okay to use it. it seems like that would be judging someone and people say that judging is wrong. So what is it?

Considering that there are millions of people licensed to carry concealed firearms why don't we hear more about the crimes these people commit?

Is it because they are in fact law-abiding people and their carrying of concealed firearms is not an issue?

Or is it something else?

I'm wondering because I know many people who are dead set against US citizens owning firearms. These same people, however, know little or nothing about firearms - is seems that they just know that they're "bad" and should be prohibited.

When I mention to these anti-gun folks the fact that there are millions of CCW permit holders they are simply unable to wrap their minds around the fact. The idea that people, perhaps in their very own community, are running around with loaded guns frightens them quite a bit.

The fact that, generally speaking, the same people legally carrying loaded guns are not committing crimes (and may occasionally prevent them) doesn't seem to faze them at all.

What's up?

because of who they are . lots of times they are denied a job by many .

wouldn't it be a good idea to erase the criminal records or to not requiere them to report those records to those which have been at least 10 years whit a clean record and are not dangereous to society ( rapist , murderers and others alike should not be included ).

story to me. Anyway, I gave him a ride.

I had called my "special friend" to tell him I was not coming straight home and he said to me "I sent you the money to come and now your staying there? That's what you get for _______ing around with those red headed truck drivers. I stopped and thought? "How did he know that he had red hair?" so I asked him and he replied "I called the Police Department to get a description of him so I could drive around the truck stop and look for him. This was very typical of my friend to go out of his way to help me and I had no reason to question his concern. However, as the years passed and I
