I took a course a while back and bought the course books to go with it. I finished the course and now have no use for the books. They are still in good condition and i paid a LOT of money for them. I decided to post them on Ebay. I received a message from a course representative stating that what I was doing was illegal and would be persecuted. I checked my enrollment papers saw the fine print that states "The program materials... are licensed to the applicant or student only, are nontransferrable and may not be sold or given to a third party."

I'm confused. I had always thought that if I purchased something it was then MINE and I could decided what to do with it. I know that reproducing materials is illegal, but do they really have the legal right to state that I can't give the books away or resell them?

my sister and i were attacked on her property by her mothernlaw i had to lay on the ground and put the lady in a head lock so she would stop punching my sister who weighs 100 the mother in law weighs a good 200 my sister has a restraining order against the mother n law but when we went to the hearing she had the meanest attorney i cant afford an attorney any suggestions yes my sister did try to defend herself by scratching the lady my sister also has a sheet of paper with all the hair the lady ripped out of my sisters head any suggestions?

my friend obtained a 65 buck parking ticket in NY (she lives in NJ) and she forgot to pay the ticket. when she wen to online it said: reduction -65 balance 0. so does that mean that they somehow paid the ticket? should she call, or will she have to pay.

The general gist of it is people are plaining they are getting second hand smoke because of neibors. This only applies to people they are attached to like an apartment or a condo.

The talk of this ban is only a few years after the ban of smoking in all bussiness's and at least 25 feet from any door or window. That includes bars. (an FYI for those who do not live in WA state.)

I got word for another associate that they are going to be drug testing everyone really soon. They are going to have someone come in and start taking people while they are on the clock getting paid, to get a drug test. I was wondering, is this Legal. I thought the only thing they could do, was give you a paper that says you have to take a drug test within 24 hours. I smoke 8 joints two weeks ago all in one day, so I know I won't pass. I rather get the notice, so that way I can take my special detox drink to flush it out of my system, this is what help me get my second job, but I want to keep both jobs.

Could I say something like, I would like to submit, but I can't pee right now, I just can't.

And I didn't know it until the detective showed up at my house today because the bank filed a police report. What should I do now? I am 6 months pregnant and have a small child, I didn't know they were fake... Someone sent them to me from Craig's List and I have some emails to prove it.

Am I going to have to go to jail? I have no record at all, and this was a huge mistake! Will I be okay if I pay the money back to the bank or is it too late since they called the police?

Please help!!

I posted a question eailier, stating IMHO that we will need to reinstate the draft and repeal the tax cuts to pay for this extended never ending fiasco. In order to keep the troops levels up to what Bush wants in Iraq and Afghanistan, we will need to reinstate the military draft. Why isn't he doing it now? Also... In order to pay for this extended open ended, money pit fiasco, we will need to repeal the tax cuts for the rich. Again... Why isn't Bush doing this right now either? What is he waiting for... He is simply going to leave it up to someone else. For this reason, and also for lying to us in the first place, he should be hung for treason! and everybody knows it! Damn you morons that voted twice for this Evil. I just can not believe this... America is in real trouble. I rent a condo in a complex that has a Board who is trying to enforce no skateboards, scooters, bikes, etc.. I have been there for 3 1/2 years and my neighbors who have been there longer than that have stated that this has never been enforced. There is a sign at the entrance to the complex that states that these items are not allowed to be rode. This sign has been there forever and nobody has ever enforced it. Last week a homeowner had a spat with a Board member, and now all of a sudden they are trying to enforce a "sign". But there is no rule. I'm sure when the residents start showing out about it, the Board will have the rule put in the Rules and Regulations. How can we (renters and homeowners) prevent that?

She had a trial for 3 months and was told she'd then have a pay rise. At the end of 3 months she was told that the trial was being extended due to a change of line management. No end date was offered. A week befor 3 months was up she found out she was 5 weeks pregnant and she told the employer. 2 days later she was dismissed as they said she was 'having problems with the firm' and in view of her circumstances would need too much time off. She didn't question this but was devastated as she had a good work record and no complaints or warning were given and she'd been led to believe the job was hers. Is this sex discrimination and is it worth pursuing?
A new girl has since been employed in her job.
