In order to keep the troops levels up to what Bush wants in Iraq and Afghanistan, we will need to reinstate the military draft. Why isn't he doing it now? Also... In order to pay for this extended open ended, money pit fiasco, we will need to repeal the tax cuts for the rich. Again... Why isn't Bush doing this right now either? What is he waiting for... He is simply going to leave it up to someone else. For this reason, and also for lying to us in the first place, he should be hung for treason! and everybody knows it! Damn you morons that voted twice for this Evil. I just can not believe this... America is in real trouble. All you have to do is drive on the interstate any day at any hour to see what we have become. Total arrogant, ignorant @ssholes... just like our President. Wake up!

Answer: NO! I'd be interested to know how many report your...posts...Fact, enlistment in the Voluntary military is at acceptable levels, only democrat liberals want a draft.
Tax cuts today do what they did when JFK forced them through...brought in more money to the federal government and started to address the deficit.
Only anti-capitalists want higher taxes and a draft!

Oh, that's an easy one. Borrow more money and pass the debt on to the next generation. I'm still paying taxes to service the debt on my war. Now my son will have the honor of paying for his war.

For us veterans, the salaries we received as members of the armed forces amounted to nothing but loans. The Fed has taken all of that back and then some.

Sooner or later some bright individual in the halls of power will get inspired to inflate the currency to ridiculous levels once more. This will help ease the pain of paying the national debt.

I saw three answers on this question that suggest that the tax cuts of recent years has brought in more money to the gov. That's completely untrue. We are still spending more than we take in at a unbearable rate THE DEBT IS THE TREAT. Don't take my word for it, look up United States Comptroller and read for yourself.

Bush said he would do neither one.. no draft.. no new taxes.. and he is sticking to that.. doesn't matter if he kills every last one of or young people.. doesn't matter if he bankrupts the country... he said something and he is sticking to it.

And besides that.. he will soon be long gone, rich form his Iraqi oil money.. and what does he care. If anyone ever thought that he was in this for the good of the country... forget that.. watch the mess he leaves behind for someone else to clean up.

Bush started the war to be popular and get reelected. starting a draft or taxing the rich won't accomplish what he wants.

Well I suppose Bush could always get the Federal Reserve to print him some more money putting us further in the hole or he could sell our children into slavery to China.
