Yes, it is unfortunate that the law, as applied to O.J. Simpson, results in an injustice. However, the law, as applied generally, prevents the government and its unlimited resources and agenda from harrassing someone with multiple prosecutions for crimes that they've either been aquitted or served time for.

There are hundreds of thousands of criminal prosecutions each year throughout the country. This is one case that happened over ten years ago. The majority of criminal defendants are convicted whether they are guilty or not.

What about the people that have spent 15 or 20 years or more on death row and then were exonerated? Does that make you equally angry?

The main thing I hate about the double jeopardy law is this. If a person is found guilty of a crime, they are allowed numerous appeals, and a new trial if new evidence is found. If they are found innocent, they cannot be retried no matter how much evidence is found.

It makes me shake my head that someone is that big of an idiot. If he did kill them, he got away with it and he should have just disappeared. But, he's a moron and he will keep talking about it his whole life.
