I have an upcoming court date . I have drafted my own affidavids. Do I have to mail a copy to the Judge before we go to court? What about the oppossing party? Do I need to send one to that person as well ?

You need to file them with the court. Send a copy to all parties. Prepare and file with the court a Proof of Service.

First, be sure you call them "affidavits." Secondly, you "file" them with the court, not mail them like letters. And you must send all parties a copy.
