Is there a statute of limitations on paying sales tax in the state of Georgia such as sales tax on an automobile purchased in a neighboring state? The state is trying to collect sales tax after almost eight years since the car was purchased. If there is a statute and the time limit has passed, can the state still mess up a person's credit?

She want's custody to pay his back pay, he lived with her and never took care of her and their children. He is in and out of their lives, but she has to get on aid sometimes to make ends meet, the State does collect child support from her ex spouse. But he cries all the time about how much he owes because, his checks are garnished but he wont make other payment arrangements to stop the interest. If anyone knows can this be reversed?

One complaint leveled against the death penalty is that it is racially biased. Of the 3,122 inmates on death row, 1,493 (or 48%) are white; 1,272 (or 41%) are black; 236 (or 8%) are Latino; 50 (or 2%) are Native American; and 22 (or 1%) are Asian. Of the 328 prisoners executed since 1976, 182 (or 56%) were white; 127 (or 39%) were black; 17 (or 5%) were Latino; one (or 1%) was Native American; and one (or 1%) was Asian(NAACP, 949).

Look, I don't like her either. For 1 DUI and 1 Driving on a Suspended License in California, if it was you or I who did it we would serve ZERO Jail time in most instances. The "Good Behavior" would be if she enrolled in DUI School, or attended a few AA meetings.
The only reason she is doing ANY jail time was so the Judge would 'Teach Her a Lesson" and so he could, get in the Paper.
So why all the anger ay little Paris, for getting a jail sentence at all, when you and I would get none?

Mty mom left my brother alone for like 10-15 minutes so she could go to the mailbox. Nosy neighbor called cops. my mom had to deal with CPS (Child protection S4rvicies) My brother wasn't harmed.
After going to a hearing the judge gave my mother two options jail time or probation(3-5 years). My mom's lawyers are saying taking probation or dont do anything yet. It's very confusing. The court has no proof of the allegation of my brother being alone for 2-43 hrs. It was only 15 minutes maximum. CPS came to my school and interviewed me. My mom has been told she might lose custody of us. What's your view?>

Our company has a service contract for network availabiity. The
service level is for a “minimum average of 99.9%“. The calculated
measurement last month(using very precise and unrounded information)
was 99.8614%.

The vendor maintains that the 99.8614% should be "rounded-up" to conform
with the significant digits in the contract (nn.n%) and therfore the
service level was achieved. Unfortunately, the contract did not
address rounding, calculation precision, or significant digits.

Our position is that the word “minimum“ implies a floor threshold -
where the measurement is either below it or above(equal). In this
situation, 99.8614% is below the 99.9% floor.

A female was arrested and could not connect with any outside lines due to call blocking, therefore was not able to call her employer to explain her situation. A friend and co-worker did inform the manager on her behalf.

Immediately upon her release 72 hours later, she went to her employer & was informed that she had been terminated.

Is there anything she can do about this situation?

i bought a car in october of 2006 which was a parts car i restored. we towed it to the title transferring place where i had it transferred into my name. however, my father passed away in late november. my stepmom, who we found out had been having an affair, immediately put us out (Me and my younger brother), and took everything we had and went with her boyfriend. before leaving, obviously we were on a bad note and she was angry she couldn't have the car i bought because she took the other and sold it because she was joint on it, took my title (which she broke open my safe to get) and took it to a notary with my father's death certificate and said here. major problem being that we have the same name (my father and I) . now i went to pick it up as it is mine and i was told i couldn't forcefully with threats to call the police even though i was not even the least bit showing any aggression. even after showing her both birth certificates, ss cards, drivers lic, etc. she refused. what to do?

My father told me and my brother that we would inherit a lot of money when he died. Now that he's gone, it appears he left us nothing and it all went to his 2nd wife and her daughters. His will states that when he dies, she inherits everything and then when she goes, it will all be split among her daughters and my brother and me. Now the greedy ***** has written her own will and giving it all to her kids and me and my bro are cut out. Can I contest this and how expensive is it and what are my chances of getting what should rightfully be ours? Why would my father promise us this? He was a lot of things but I don't remember him being a cruel liar.

How many people think this is crap? Who is entitled to good behavior for showing up for a court date? I know lots of people who have never had their sentences cut in half for showing up for court dates. You are supposed to show up. This really makes me mad. Also that she is being separated from the general population. I am irrate. I guess this goes to show where money can get a person. They might as well throw the sentence out all together because she probably is going to have cable, internet and text messaging anyway. What is the point? How can you obtain good behavior having not even been in jail yet?

My mother decided to open a case up for my brother (who is a minor) due to a ridiculous occurance at an apartment complex. You see one of their managers pulled a gun at my father and said he was going to kill him in front my younger brother.

My brother was traumatined severly and I was no where near the scene of this incident. Seven years later the opposing attorney decided to subphoea me to testify since my mother's lawyer is arguing that my brother suffered emotinal distress as a result of that incident. I WASn'T TECHNICALLY A DIRECT WITNESS TO THIS...THEREFORE WHAT RIGHT DOES THE OPPOSING ATTORNEY AND THE ATTORNEY REPRESENTING MY MOTHER have to subphena me and try to dig into my private life to a case that is not even mine.

I'm 21 years old and I have lots of info about me that I don't want becoming public. Please help.

My sister has a friend in Illinois that just recently found out she may be pregnat. She wants to keep the baby, but the husband is demanding an abortion. Can he force her to have the abortion? Are there laws to protect her from it? Also, he said if she has the baby then he is putting it up for adoption can he make her do that? I mean can he sign adoption papers without her consent and make her give this baby up?

Granted they aren't in the best marriage & aren't very financially stable, but it is against her beliefs to do this can he force her into it if she doesn't want to?

I was wondering if law states that a person may be arrested after treatment in a hospital for illegal drug overdose or infections due to intravainous injections. Like if you go to a hospital for being on a bad acid trip, you bring your friend to a hospital for od'ing, or if something like that happens after you get treated to you get arrested?
