How many people think this is crap? Who is entitled to good behavior for showing up for a court date? I know lots of people who have never had their sentences cut in half for showing up for court dates. You are supposed to show up. This really makes me mad. Also that she is being separated from the general population. I am irrate. I guess this goes to show where money can get a person. They might as well throw the sentence out all together because she probably is going to have cable, internet and text messaging anyway. What is the point? How can you obtain good behavior having not even been in jail yet?

Mr. No name, I was mad about O.J., still am, and I am mad about this. This is more than morals, this is drunk driving we are talking about. This is possibly taking another persons life. I have had my best friends mom die in a drunk driving accident, a kid at my school, so this is a touchy subject for not just me but a lot of people. There are people doing the same thing and spending the full time in jail and ignorance is not an excuse for them so why should it be for her?

If I shared your way of thinking Sir then I suppose I would just wait until she actually drove drunk enough and killed someone before putting her in jail. She had a chance and she violated her probation, so as you can see they went to the resorts of not placing her in jail and that didn't seem to deter her still. You don't have to explain the justice system to me and overcrowding prisons, I am working on my bachelors in criminal justice. I have already studied corrections. However the fact of the matter is she violated the law, more than once and she needs to spend the FULL time in jail. Anyone else would have

Yes Mischa. One thing I learned in my studies is that ignorance of the law or the excuse "I didn't know" is not an excuse. I guess it is not an excuse unless your bringing in a million or two.

I also think that this is extremely unfair. You are SUPPOSED to go to court. If you go there, you should get no reward. If you DON'T go, you're supposed to get fined!
And did you also know... she was driving on a suspended liscence not once, but multiple times. Her excuse was, "Like, I didn't know it was suspended!"
This is terrible!

I think it is crap too. Especially since she was caught driving AFTER her court date and jail sentence. How is that good behavior? I don't really think she should go to jail anyway, she will just lay around watching cable and enjoying special privileges all day I'm sure. She should be made to do some sort of community service and pay a big fat fine instead.

the only reason you want to see Paris go to jail so bad is because of how bad or justice system is, it plays favorites, if you have money or celebrity you can get away with murder(just ask OJ) but I for one would rather see her not go to jail at all. the space she is taking up allows another inmate to go free, we are releasing murders, rapists, child molesters and so on early from prison every day because we just don't have the room to incarcerate them. But if we released the pot smokers and all the less offensive inmates then there would be room for the violent offenders to do their maximum amount of time. but if you ran a prison who would you rather have to watch? a bunch of dangerous people that will kill with just a word from the right person, of a bunch of druggies who as long as they are getting their drugs are simply doing their time. think about it.

Her sentence earlier became into 40 5 days, he in simple terms stated she nonetheless had to serve it in penal complex. besides the shown fact that state regulation says she gets a 2 day credit for every day in penal complex. for that reason she purely would desire to be in penal complex 23 days, and which would be minus the days she already spent. The choose i think of besides the shown fact that stands to have his "domicile arrest" rulling overturned. that's as much as the sheriff below the regulation the place to place the guy for arrest. The jails are crowded and that's between the excuses for them to have this ability. Sorry, mutually as i do no longer think of "domicile arrest" quantities to lots, i might particularly have a killer at the back of bars then somebody who violated probation.

Come on! O.J. got away with murder and you're upset that the rich princess Paris Hilton is only serving 23 days on a morals charge. Not high on my list of important news!

it is total BS. but we've all known or should have known that money can buy anything. and yeah y not just throw out her sentence all together ? cause then she can't get the media for it, or improve ratings on her stupid show with it, or possibly get a book deal in the future with it.

when you got money, anything is possible.
as long as she is locked up for more than a day i will be happy. hopfully if she decides to drive drunk again she will drive into a light pole or a tree. i have no symphaty for drunk drivers and no tolerance for rich spoiled b itches who can't own up to their own mistakes and just try to throw money at it.
