Hilton's jail term cut to about 23 days

Paris Hilton will serve about half of her 45-day jail sentence and will be separated from the general inmate population, authorities said Wednesday.

Does this type of Justice just make YOU sick?

Sadly, thats how are criminal justice system works. She has the best lawyers that got her a shorter sentence. But as a conservative and a legalistic, I believe that she should have to serve her full sentence regardless of who she is and whatever the he-l-l she does for a living.
But to be honest, I think it only lowers the level of respect people have for her because she gets different treatment than the general public. I think it is rediculous but that doesnt really matter.

indeed it does but the general jail population gets the same thing when jails get over crowded. they shorten the stay for those that are in for a lesser crime like driving without a licence. paris on the other hand has shown zero respect for the law by repeatedly driving without her licence and should have to serve every day of her sentence. she should not be seperated tho if she wants to act like a criminal she should sleep with the criminal

yup. it really isn't fair. at first I thought: FINALLY! A 45 day jail time! A twin bunk bed! Sharing a room with someone who hates her! But......ruined. Its not fair just because she happened to be born into a wealthy family and became an icon:::: she still did crimes. normal people would have to spent the entire 45 days in an even worse jail. I dont think this is fair......

PARIS HILTON IF YOUR READING THIS IM MAD AT YOU!

lol......
hope that answered it!

Rather sickening - but par for the course in our justice system that serves those who have $$$ and screws those who do not.

I got quite a kick out of her "good behavior" --- she showed up for court..........ooooohh aaaaaahh she obeyed the law once....someone give that girl a cookie (and half a jail sentence).

Not really. Public figures are typically under tougher scrutinity and besides having to deal with compliance with laws every move that they make is monitored i think that celebrities should not receive special treatment when it comes to crimes, but no one got hurt and someone is making money off of it someone is employed and in turn it helps the economy :)

Yes..she should be thrown in the county lock up with the rest of the population. She isnt going to learn from her mistakes like this. She IS a danger to society as reckless as she is.

No, it's par for the course....... and many drunk drivers get no jail time at all even after they've killed and or maimed people. The reins need to be tightened in this area- they need to start seizing cars along with drivers licenses.

The justice is fine, but the sentencing was ridiculous.
If it could be reduced, then it needed to be much longer.

So called celebrities are held at a different standard...UNBELIEVABLE!!! They should do more time than less, because unfortunately it will show how weak prosecuters are!!

If it's due to over crowding she can stay at my place. I'll keep a REAL GOOD eye on her.
