I hired an attorney 2 years ago, I was in an accident ,wich i was not at fault. my attorney said that we should wait a while in case more long term injuries might show up. she said we could wait 6 months or a year, i am almost positive i chose 6 months. so after 7 more months went by,i emailed my attorney and she told me that we were waiting one year. I was not completely positive ,so i descided that ok i can wait one year. then one year went by, and i keep trying to contact my attorney, but she never responds, i tried email,calling..nothing..

My attorney then starts to hire a leagle assitant, the leagle assistants were doing there job , but they she has gone through 3 in the past 2 months..the one assistant, informed me that,i was not the only one who this attorney was not getting back to,she said many people were frustrated..she quit, i believe because ,there were so many people frustrated, she would even set up confrence calls, with 0 responce from my attorney.

Sorry about all the death row questions. Just interesting!

Why would someone who knows they are about to die still protest their innocence moments before being executed?

Do you think that many are actually innocent or just one last atempt to save their lives?

ok so my sister(15yrs) told me today that a while back she had spent the night at a friends house. Her friend pressured the group of friends to drive her moms honda pilot(SUV) well my sister wasnt driving the whole night until the end, because the girl pressured her to drive. well she ended up grazing a mailbox and put a small scratch on the door. shes now threating her 6 MONTHS later and tells her that she needs to pay half. i told her that she doesnt have to pay, its not her fault.. her friend wanted to have too much fun and force the girls to drive, while none them having licenses nor insurance to the SUV..plus the girl moved away to a diff side of town. any lawers or educated answers out there? or a good opnion would do. THANKS!

What exactly is illegal downloading of music? If i download purely songs from sites such as multiply, isohunt.com, gendou.com , is it counted as illegal downloading?

I'm not paying to download but the site owner pays to host the web and the music files.

However, in sites such as isohunt.com, we're downloading the files we want in torrent files which often don't tell us where this source come from, is it illegal or not, we don't know.

And what will happen if we're caught downloading these illegal stuffs? Is there a difference in punishment if i'm only downloading songs while the other guy is downloading movies ?

Is there anyway to erase our track from downloading music/ movie/ stuffs like this ?

My mum has been married to her husband for almost 2 years. Anyway, once married this man changed totally, became a different man altogther so they are now divorcing. All through the marriage he refused to give her any money, she only had child benefit to live off which brought her and her sons food each week and any clothes ect Today she has just come across a bank statement which shows he has been putting all the extra income, meant for the family, into an ISA. Does she have any rights to claim some of this as it was the families money in the first place? It is quite alot of money.

An attorney-in-fact (via power-of-attorney) is a fiduciary, and is required to keep detailed and accurate records of all relevant transactions entered into on behalf of the principal. Is there a requirement as to how long an AIF must keep these records? I'm guessing that there must be some rule or code that addresses this matter, but I've been unable to locate it. So, if you have a link, please share! Thank you.

The driver wants to sue me for negligence, as my dog broke through the fence and got out. She was looking at a possum on the electricity wires and hit my dog. I want to know how I get proof of the alleged damage to her vehicle? She says its $1071 worth. When I looked at the car the day after, there was no visible damage.

Here is my situation:

I am a single mom- buying a used car for the first time. I went to a major dealership in the area. And bought a 2002 car that was told that was safety checked. 3 month 3,000 powertrans warranty.

36 hours later- traveled about an hour and half away, and the car won't start. i call the dealership. They say it's right that i called them and I shouldn't deal with the service people in that area- but they will send out a tow truck.

Fast forward- they covered the new starter and installation- but charged me $300 tow fee to bring me back home. I feel that 36 hours later they should pay for ALL of it, especially since they said that I should be brought back- rather than deal with people in the area i was in.

To get my car- I paid the money. I am so upset. I especially hate how these men treated me tonight.

Should I complain to the owner in the morning, or "just take it" (forget about it). Do you think they will cover it?

About one month ago I handed three letters to the mailman (power bill, water bill, and credit card bill). He was standing at the mailbox filling everyone else's mail and said he would take mine, so I handed the letters to him. Well yesterday I get a notice from the power company saying they are shutting my power off. Then today I find out my c.c. is past due. I put two and two together and remembered that I handed the letters to him. I don't know what he did w/ them, but my bills never got paid. Tomorrow, I probably won't have water too. I have never paid late on any of my bills, so hopefully my credit won't be affected. What kind of recourse do I have for this (if any)?
