I may not have ever tried it, but I've seen the effect is has on people who smoke it. Sure, there are those who only use a small amount, once in a great while, and seem to function perfectly fine. I know a few who used to smoke it when they were younger, and are now fully functioning members of society.

But I also know many, many more who tried it a few times and now can't make it through the day without it. Their lives are spinning out of control, they ignore every other part of their lives, and they slowly but surely end up hollow shells of the person they once were. After they've lost their job, they resort to selling off all their possessions, and eventually selling off other people's possessions, to get money to buy more to feed their habit. Quite a few of them even move on to harder drugs because the marijuana doesn't get them as high as it used to.

Does it happen to everyone who smokes it? Of course not. There are exceptions. But why would I risk it? Ever heard of Russion Roulette? First four people come out fine, but it would suck to be number five.

Besides, I don't need to shoot myself in the foot to know it'd be a bad thing to do. Some things are just common sense to me.

Okay listen hunny. I'mn assuming that he is older then you but i might be wrong. anyways i can see from how you explained you feel like you are losing him. Here's what i would do if i was in your situation, there's two ways to handle it. you can do it face to face or on the phone. You have to tell him how u feel about him and how u feel like whats going on is hurting not only you but the relationship you two share. you don't have to change because if he loved you he wouldn't ask you too. Unless its something that was harmful to you or other people. in relationships communication and trust is the key.you guys need to build both of these in yours. if you tell him how whats going on is hurting you and he doesn't fix it, then he doesn't care and you need to move on. I understand you really like him but to me it doesn't sound like you're getting the same back and you're too young to be in an unhealthy relationship. I've been there and it's not great. Also you can't depend on him to make you happy find things to do yourself that make you happy. If you're happy things will come along easier. If you already have problems with your family he should be your safehouse not another burden.you're young there will be many more just be yourself and never settle for less than you deserve! hope everything goes well!!!

I did and, in what is probably a very rare case, had a psychotic episode. Everyone else smoking the same thing had no problems.

Drugs are bad, mmkay?

Try living with someone smoking pot, I have, and it has been a long road helping him to break his addiction. Not much fun being with someone who is 'stoned', with no motivation to do anything.

They probably have...Not something most political leaders will admit to...

I'll assume you haven't tried it either. But other people have told me that it makes them giggly, paranoid, apathetic, horny, and interested in music and large amounts of ice cream and potato chips, depending on their proclivities.

We of the baby-boomer generation would not know about this, of course, because we never inhaled.

How do you KNOW we have not tried it? We might KNOW more than you think. We may have realized our mistake & want to steer someone down a better path. Some of us might have smoked it longer than you have been alive. Well? It's never to late to move to Amsterdam, you know?

Because most people are hypocrites- & they don't want YOU to put anything in your mouth- that they don't have the nerve to put in theirs. But THAT misses a point; other than food- ANYTHING else we put in our mouths, is a gamble. Most of us don't NEED drugs or stimulants of ANY kind. And if we think we do- then it means there's something seriously wrong with US.

Because they have to deal with self righteous, lazy, hazy minded, potheads and it could get really annoying at times
