I delivered a load of HAZMAT chemicals to a plant that manufactures mattresses. This is a very expensive product, and the workers all wore face masks, and full body protection. I was not allowed into the plant, as it was toxic, and so, dangerous without PPE clothing. The barrels I delivered required 5 placards, and I'm just wondering...do Americans realize that they are laying on some serious chemical combinations, with the new type of sleep mattresses?

No matter how good it feels, I wouldn't take one if it were given to me. Years from now, when bizarre cancers are found to be caused by such agents, and the Corporation has gone out of business to avoid lawsuits, will I be guilty for not alerting authorities? The media? Is there a place a whistleblower can submit his fears of serious dangers that threaten society? This is a VERY popular product, advertised widely.

Everytime I pick up the paper I read horrifying stories: a man stomped a 10 pound chihuahua to death, an ex-boyfriend cuts off the head of his girlfriend's dog, gift-wraps it and puts it on her porch, two teenage boys put a puppy in a hot oven and laugh as the dog struggles to get free, a man puts a puppy into a microwave and cooks it to get even with his girlfriend. I could go on but I want to DO SOMETHING. What can I as one person do?

How many people would have to be killed, by one person, before one would support that person's execution (would you oppose the execution of someone such as Hitler?)

* I would prefer this question to be answered by those who believe that we too would be murderers, for taking someone's life as punishment for their crimes.

let's assume that there is a person delegated by a Contractor to supervise all the works being carried out... My task is to put into an agreement (a sort of a weird homework ;) a sentence (a provision) that the person who supervises on behalf of the Contractor will be: name and surname...

How should I do this? Maybe in this way?

"The Contractor's supervisory person shall be"

or

"The supervisory person of the Contractor shall be..."

please help :)

and thanks a lot for the previous answers :) They were very helpful!

As admirable as helping fight aids in third world countries is, their money was mostly earned in the U.S. and we have problems of equal magnitude that are hardly being addressed by our govt. The stronger they could make us the more we could help the rest of the world. That is what we do, contrary to what CNN and other media tries to portray our great nation.

As you know, there are official terms for certain terms such as:
murder--(homicide)
stealing--(larceny)
etc.

well I need to know, what is the legal term for prostitution? I need to know the official term for the crime of pimping, but if you also know the crime of being a "john" or being a prostitute, it would be nice to know what those terms are also.

But they don't have the money to pay attorney's fees. Is there a place where they can get advice for really really cheap...or for free? Also, they don't speak English.

I live in an apartment complex where I have a garage for storage. I own a pressure washer that I use for work and to wash my vehicles. I washed out my garage today. I pulled the hoses and washer unit off of the sidewalk onto the lawn so nobody would trip over it while I left for 45 minutes to pick up my truck and run an errand. Upon returning, I found that the pressure washer and my hoses were gone. I was going to call the police and report them stolen. Then I thought, who in their right mind would steal this in broad daylight, especially the five dollar garden hoses. I went to the maintenance man and asked him if he had taken it. He had. When I asked him why, he said I had left it out and it was a liability risk. When I asked to get it back, he said he would let me have it on Monday, since his workday was over. I was furious. Do you think it is illegal for him to keep my property for any length of time, if only for two days?

I know where most people would LOVE for them to live… In prison. But luckily, we live in a society of laws. We live in a society where once you get out of prison, the public just can’t throw you back in because they don’t like your kind. There are over 500,000 registered sex offenders in the government database. Where are these sex offenders supposed to live?

Remember, the sex offense crimes run the gamut of taking a leak behind a 7-11 to the actual pedophiles who molest children.

Do you actually think a child is any safer if a sex offender can’t live within 2500 feet of a bus stop, school, playground, daycare…? Is the registered sex offender the ones you really have to worry about? Do you honestly think that ALL the sex offenders have been caught? Do you honestly think that ALL of your family members are innocent?

Sorry, I am getting off the subject.

example: An informant "looking" for particular evidence drives up the road, parks the car, but can not see in plain view the evidence in question inside of a garage window, (with no enhancements, by the naked eye) He then returns to the car to retrieve a zoom-lense camera to use as a sight enhancement, He then can see the evidence, looking through the garage window, he gets back into the car and drives to the magistrate office, completes an application & affidavit for probable cause, stating that "looking through his camera, he was able to see... " the warrant for the seizure is approved by the magistrate. later, the seizure warrant was presented to me and the items were seized. Important: No place on public, or invited ground could a person have a plain view of inside the garage window. Does anyone know of any case law examples of a situation as described above? Was it a legal search or was it tainted because of the rules under the 4th Amendment? Should the evidence be suppressed?

For those that think smoking is a risk- Yes it is a risk. Just like many risks we have the FREEDOM to take.

What about the fathers or mothers that take unneccesary risks while having a family???

Assume this possible case.
Let's say a father sky-dives and the mother is a diabetic that continues to eat too much sugar.

Suppose the father or mother would experience medical problems? this would hurt them and the family. the kids would be hurt emotionally. Both choices the father and mother made were not illegal. They could have refrained from making the choices.
Before we say that second hand smoke and smoking cause death to everyone, we might want to think a little bit.

It's called FREEDOM. A bar owner should have the right to allow smoking.

If the customer thinks it is a risk. The customer has the right not to go there.
The government shouldn't intervene with this.
If the father thinks sky-diving is a bad choice, he has the right not do it or do it.

Do you believe people who are poor are poor because they are lazy, stupid, or foolish? If you are well-off, did you earn your wealth? Did you inherit it? Either way, do you feel entitled to keep it without sharing it with those less fortunate through charitable donations or paying taxes?
