As admirable as helping fight aids in third world countries is, their money was mostly earned in the U.S. and we have problems of equal magnitude that are hardly being addressed by our govt. The stronger they could make us the more we could help the rest of the world. That is what we do, contrary to what CNN and other media tries to portray our great nation.

Americans do not realize how lucky they truly are! 1/2 of the world(3.5 BILLION) people live off less than $2 dollars a day! The GDP per capita in America is near $35,000!!! Freedom has built a free nation and government interaction is what has pulled America back down! Buffet and Gates should have the freedom to do what they feel is best with their money! The only way to help the rest of the world is to decentralize their economies and bring about power to the people of the third world countries! People are poor in America because of lack of drive! People are poor in other countries because of their governments! Gates and Buffet have done more for this nation than any politician! Think about the technology push and abundant jobs they have created, jobs that wouldn't of been here had it not been for them! They have brought economic growth, control of this is to destroy or impair the process!

People in Detroit need to take care of their own city. It baffles me how one of the greatest cities in america has turned into the armpit of america. It is so bad people are removing loved ones from the cementaries of Detriot and moving them to the suburbs. Not even fit for people already dead and burried. Bill Gates Would be a fool to invest $20 there!

But they are trying to solve Malaria that kills one million kids a year in the third world and solve those sorts of diseaes and I find that more important than helping us. Yet they may be helping Detroit education. They fund charter schools and public ed reform in big US cities.
