Okay, so we've heard what the Bible has to say. Without that, without the religious backing of someone else's words, please explain to me why homosexual unions are anyone's business but those that are conducting them. Who are you, are we, is anyone to tell someone they can't have the same rights as a heterosexual couple simply because they are of the same sex? When it comes to children and the rearing of them by a homosexual couple, so long as the children are loved and safe, what's the problem? Being with loving parents would undoubtedly be in the best interest of an orphaned or abandoned child, undoubtedly better than some of the heterosexual parents that currently have children, regardless of whether they have two mommies or two daddies instead of one of each. Goodness knows that they would be raised in a more tolerant home with less chance at turning out as a closeminded fool who doesn't think for her/himself but rather lets religion do the talking without even trying to understand

I asked my dad for some help because I've been struggling for funds and he told me he can't because things are tight for him as well. He advised me to ask my mom to help because he is still paying child suport for me.

I haven't lived my mom since I was 15. So, my mom has been getting child support for me for 7 years without me being there and when I asked for help she said no flat out. (we get along...honor thy mother..but don't have a relationship).

My dad said that by law, I can take her to court because I can prove that I've been living on my own and that she was not entitled to that money, but I wanted to see how valid that is.

FYI...I am only considering this because I am struggling and not at all out of spite. I do love my mom.

We bought our townhouse in February of '06. Two months later we were assessed for storm damage that was caused in September of '05. We have tried to fight this assessment for a year without hiring an attorney. There was something pending at the time of our closing, but there was not an amount written. No one would take responsibility for this assessment. Our homeowner's association put our house into foreclosure unless we paid the assessment with the added fines and fees. We decided to pay the amount to "save" our house. One of our last options was to turn our claim into our Title Insurance Company and our Homeowner's Insurance Comp. Our Title Ins. Company denied our claim but offered a settlement of $2000 (about half of the total claim) only if we signed a release form stating they would not be liable for any further assessments. We agreed. At last minute our Homeowner's Insurance offered to pay the actual claim. Would it be illegal to accept money from both companies?

What are the proper legal term (phase) for when a matter is filed in one court and then a defendant files in another court on the same matter (not appellate).
Plaintiff files deflective product suit in Fed. Ct. One of the defendants hire another lawyer to file collection suit in different county in different court. Besides being a violation of the fair credit act, and abuse of process, what other legal phrase covers it and it being tabboo?

Anything which occurs in nature cannot be patented.

But how did we arrive at that?
What is the process by which we came to that conclusion?
I am guessing some Genius decided to try and patent "water" or "gravity" or "oxygen", and then this was challanged in court, and then the ruling from the court was given- "anything which occurs in nature cannot have a patent". But this can only occur *after* the due process, and challange in court.
So.. I assume that there was an application for a "NATURAL ELEMENT" patent, and the patent was historically accepted, and later rejected via a challenge in the courts, by which the patent office can say --
We cannot accept this application for "Gravity".. etc.
#
All of this is an assumption on my part.
Please can someone confirm or deny this.

Many thanks

My aunt is the executor of a will left by my grandmother. She refuses to probate the will that entitles property in Arkansas to be divided between my aunt, my father and my uncle. The will was drawn up in Arkansas decades ago. My grandmother died about 20 years ago and was a resident of California when she died. My aunt, father and uncle all live in California. My dad does not have the original will but he does have a copy. He would like to have his share of the property now so that he can give it to his younger children, but my aunt refuses to probate the will. Can he bring this to the California courts or must he go through Arkansas. The attorney is also deceased. Thank you.
