Was pregnant with my daughter 19 years ago and Ex left me for his Dentist..thats right he was screwing his Dentist,Doc D. Should have known..I remember how impressed he was with her $$$. He told me she was married. Doc D the dentist just cant let go of her husbands past, even though we have not spoken to him in 13 years. For the first 6 years after our daughter was born I was harrassed relentlessly at work, at home, by phone, by mail and by court. In 1993 He left our daughter at his mothers house on visitation and never returned. His mother said that Doc D would not allow him to visit anymore, but we had just went to court again and my daughter's therapist was going to testify as to what Doc D was doing, my Ex decided to settle without a hearing. In 2005 support hearing for her college and guess what Doc D's back. Cant get a protective order, no threat to life, just "freedom of speech". This nutty ***** drives by & follows us. Even have her on surveillance. Courts wont help, ideas?

If we don't step up to the voting booths, these "select groups" of over zealous, self-obsorbed individuals will continue to push their opinions to the ballet - and win. Should things as these have anything to do with laws?? What's next?

I don't understand. Law says your not allowed to be naked in public but your not even allowed to be in your own yard. Its your door so if someone comes to your door there coming to you. Nudity is natural and laws are restriciting you from being human. What do you think?

marijuana does not directly kill people, while drugs like pain relievers, asthma medications, anti-psychotics, birthcontrol, etc. can.

marijuana has fewer harmful side effects than tobacco, even though people try to advertise that it does. people smoke far less plant material for pot than tobacco, plus tobacco is severely addictive and over 400,000 people die annually from smoking. While around 50,000 people die from secondhand smoke.

alcohol also causes over 200,000 deaths per year, where marijuana causes 0.

marijuana has many good health benefits. I have taken many anti-nausea medications and they are all very bad. I was on one that had a major chemicals found in datura(jimson weed) and belladonna(deadly nightshade). These plants can make you have a terrifying trip for 3 days and cause death.
I also used an anti-nausea called compazine, which is also a medication for schizophrenia patients. it caused me to tremor violently and i started lactating like i was pregnant.

NYC.... Post modern Hollywood.

The french invent projected motion pictures after Edison invented the personal motion picture device (Vitascope). With fear that edison will sue because theater projection was more appreciated than personal projection the movie studios moved out of NYC and to the modern Hollywood... Correct?

I'm asking this question for a friend of mine in NYC. She allowed a friend from college to move into her spare bedroom in April. This person was not added to her lease. They then proceeded to only pay their portion of rent sporadically while going on carribean vacations. They also were a complete slob and caused a rodent infestation in the apartment.

My friend discovered she was two months pregnant in September. She told her roommate and informed them that they needed to relocate by December 31st. Her "roommate" has yet to move out of her home and told her at her babyshower that it wasn't her fault my friend got knocked up, she can't find an affordable place and she is not leaving til she does. She also claimed that my friend can't throw her out because she has since repaid all the back due rent. But he isn't on the lease. How can my friend get this person out of her home before her children's birth? What are the laws in NYC? What rights does this person have?

Dna is now finding "guilty" prisoners, NOT guilty and they are being released. Poor guys! Are they , at the very least, given some type of compensation to help them re-enter society.

Can you reverse an adoption that took place a long time ago? Know someone who actually knows their birth mother and the adoptive parents were bad parents (both now deceased), but he wants his birth mother's name.

What do you think of the new US law to euthanize mentally retarded people who are unable to care for themselves? I think this had to be done to get our budget under control but it is still sad. Should we perhaps extend euthanasia to prisoners serving life sentences and also the elderly with terminal disease?

about 4 years ago i got myself into some trouble- i got pulled over and arrested on some drug charges. it wasnt much but there was a felony charge involved.
i feel like such a dumb *** now for allowing this to happen but here is the story.
when i went to court for sentencing, the officers that arrested me were there of course to testify, BUT the evidence that i was arrested for, had been lost. NO EVIDENCE PRESENTED
we went ahead and plead out no contest and of course i was fined and put on probation, etc.
i was told by someone that the case should have been dismissed by the judge because the evidence was lost.
BUT INSTEAD i was convicted with this felony
my question is is there any way for me to get this overturned?
or am i just wishful thinking
my question is, is this something worth hiring a lawyer for?
i live in arkansas by the way, and in case your wondering the other lawyer has since passed away

Recently, one of my friends left my other friend the keys to his house, while he left on vacation. They're both minors and his mother did not know that he did this. My friend had people over at the house, one of which was me. Somehow,(although we did not use it) the computer broke. When my friend's mother found out, she threatened to sue my friend (not her own son), me and anyone else who was at that house. Can my friend or I be sued? If so, for how much $ and why?
