The french invent projected motion pictures after Edison invented the personal motion picture device (Vitascope). With fear that edison will sue because theater projection was more appreciated than personal projection the movie studios moved out of NYC and to the modern Hollywood... Correct?

Actually Karl if I remember correctly it was Bush who supplied the cash for the Nader campaign.
Smart idea since moronic democrats voted for Nader. What did he get? 2% of the votes? That's 2% taken away from the democratic party.

False. Biograph Company wanted to film a movie on the west coast so they sent DW Griffith and his troop to California and started filming in a vacant lot on Georgia St (hollywood). The Company decided to explore new territories and traveled several miles north to a little village that was friendly and enjoyed the movie company filming there.

no, global warming was invented out of the fear that Republicans would keep the fear factor with their war on terror, Gore pushes global warming to scare people into voting green. it had nothing to do with thomas edison.
And to answer your question, they went to CA for the movies because it gave more time per year of natural lighting (lack of snowy winter season).
