Official stance as of Today is a big : NO.

Now, if you can prove that you are part of an organized religion and that your hemp use is strictly limited to religious rituals (fat chance if what I remember about the organisation of Tantric Buddhists, and the kind of "ritual" where hemp might be used is correct... at the very least, you'll give the prosecutor a field day).

Now, if you managed to enlist the ACLU on your side and to get the Dalai Lama as a defence witness...

Hmm.....I don't think that'll fly. I heard some Indians in the past had tried that with peyote buttons.......it didn't fly then. You can claim all that....but to be honest, unless you have a very high priced civil rights lawyer who is willing to go all the way to the Supreme Court.....you'll probably have charges of possession placed against you, or possibly possession with intent to distribute.
