I loaned my ex wife some money which iam supposed do get back in the next week.She wrote out a statement saying when she will return the money to me and the amount to be paid back.If for some reason she doesnt pay me back and i have to take her to court is the statement she wrote and signed considered a contract?

Contracts are merely agreements made between people in which one person receives a benefit in exchange for something else (condsideration). A valid written contract can be written in crayon on a napkin. Whether the contract terms are valid, however, would require review of the actual words that were used.

This is a contract if she signed it. If she didn't sign it, it is good evidence in court of her guilt.
