I went back to Peru before my US divorce was finalized (November), and married another person in August, thinking that the US marriage was finalized. Is my marriage to the second person in Peru valid? I am divorcing in Peru now anyway, would I have to go through the divorce process in Peru, or is the marriage just not valid?

I have been given a draft card however I never registered for the draft, nor would I. I'm not sure if I was automatically registered when I registered to vote although I was 17 at the time or perhaps when I got my drivers license, I was 16 at the time, or perhaps I'm not registered at all, and the card and letter is an attempt to weasel me into registering. I unfortunately don't remember what the letter said as it was 4 months ago and I threw it away along with the other half of the card. I want to know if I have been registered. I know my chances of getting in trouble for not registering are slim but I would rather receive any punishment than support the murder of others. If I have been registered how soon do I have to become a conscientious objector?

I was engaged to a guy who while we were together bought me a 1,300 ring and a laptop for me and himself well we broke up because he was controling and abusive he demanded my daughter(from a previous relationship)call him dad and she was only 9 months old....he told me if i really loved him i would let him adopt her. Things started getting rocky after we moved in together we were on the edge of a break-up when i tried to give the ring back to him and he wouldn't take it he told me to keep it i tried giving him the laptop too i figured that way he could sell it or something but he wouldn't take it so i had him sign them over to me saying they were a gift and that he gave them to me...Well a few weeks after that we got into an arguement and he jumped on the hood of my blazer and wouldn't let me go anywhere he had my daughter screaming she was so scared so i told him to get out i kicked him out of MY house.now he wants money for the computer and wants to sue does he have the right to sue?

I think it's a horrible thought that someone would insist on themselves or their loved ones being burried with organs that could save someone else's life.

And I have heard people say that if they were an organ donor, they were afraid that a doctor wouldn't save their life because he or she would be thinking "Why save them when I could use their organs?" as if the doctor may have a friend that needs a liver and can tell by looking at you that yours will be a match.

I would hope that if I were to meat my untimely demise, that as much of me as possible could be used to save others, even if it means having nothing left of me but hair to have a funeral with, and I would have no problem with such a law.

What do you think?

I am wondering, after the smoking ban appears in England (around summer 2007 i think), and people will either try to give up smoking, or at least stay at home and smoke to their hearts content, obviously there will be a small drop in the sale of cigarettes, and pub attendances are sure to drop even more, so what will the government do in regards to lost tax revenue?
Will they be adding the tax on something else?
Probably.
Have they got a plan to add it on something somewhere else?
If so, what would they add it on to?

Scenario:
You had a child support case opened while you were on public aid- got off shortly thereafter. Since that point the father has made no effort to pay on the order and the county wont go after him because they said he currently receives state medical aid. If you are working- and not on aid, isnt the county responsible to collect or enforce the order or do you have to hire a lawyer yourself to help you get monies owed? Its not like he cant work- he just chooses not to. They said that the state cant go after people for Child support who are receiving any type of state funded programs.

I dont really see how that is fair since I am required to work (which I would anyways because I have children to take care of), i just wonder why the man isnt (or woman depending on the situation).

I have had a bit of a dodgy relationship with my landlord right from the start. He lied to me initially about what was included in the £850 I paid a month, leaving me with no where to park and a flat that had loads of things not working properly. I had signed a 6 month tenancy which is up at the end of December, therefore I have found somewhere new to live.

I do not believe he will pay me back my deposit which I need obviously for my new place, therefore I have not paid him any rent this month. He has been chasing me for it and has told me that I am not allowed to do this and am breaking my tenancy agreement.

The bottom line is.... what can he actually do about it???
