You're kidding, right? You mean to tell us that you don't have your SS number memorized?
OK, go to the nearest SS office, identify yourself and ask for your number.

Phone any of your old or your present employer. If you have never worked, then contact your High School, your SS should be in their files, along with your "vital" statistics. Hope that gets your numbers, and once you have them I always make a copy and put it in a safe place. Don't carry your ID when your going out to a bar,or drinking establishments, take only your "photo copies". A lot of people don't realize just how much "money" a "crook" can get for your ID - your SS is worth about $500.00 on the street. Once you have it back, call the IRA and make sure no one is using it - because when you come to file your return, your income could be "a lot more" because of that, then your in for a "big" battle to prove to the IRA that it wasn't you. Identity Thief is one of the fastest growing "crimes" in North America and the World... always keep your vital documents in a safe place! and never share your information with anyone!

This happened to me a few years ago.
You need your licence and Birth Certificate.
go to your local SS office ( check your phone book or local gov't web site) and re-apply. It may cost you upwards to $50.

After you get put it in a secure place, with other documents you do not carry around with you (passport, birth certificate, etc) and only take it out when needed.

good luck. SS is one of the biggest pains to deal with.

The one and only way is to go to the SS office and fill out a form fr another one. Take additional ID as you will need it.

If you just need the number, try looking at your old tax returns.

The fastest way is to go to the Social Security office. You get it the same day. You can send for it, but that takes weeks.
