If I am suing someone who has filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy, is it correct that a stay is entered on my claim? If so, how long does teh stay last? Is there anything that I need to do to protect my interests (e.g. register as a creditor somehow)?

My fiance has various misdemeanors from when he was younger.
He was doing drugs at the time but has been clean for years. He wants a better life for himself, and I. With a good job, and sometime in the future buying a home. How can he do these things with his past criminal record?

Is there anything he can do to clear his criminal record?
Does it clear from minor things after a certain amount of years?

I know this will cause controversial responses, and please note that my opinion is not yet formed, hence the question.

Overweight people cost the NHS £4.6Billion a year through treatment, rehab, care, special home equipment and death. This is serious money that could be reinvested into education, health care and other vital resources that are shockingly underfunded.

A few weeks ago I went to this resort in / near Miami Florida. The last night I was there I was sleeping when this giant picture / picture frame hit me in the head when I was sleeping. Besides waking me up, it gave me one hell of a nasty bruise on my forehead, I took pictures of my forehead and pictures of the wall and picture / picture frame and went back to bed, I was going to forget it, but I'm still getting the occasional REALLY bad headache..... what should I do?

She has called the court and public defenders to see what she needs to do but no one will give her any information. What should she do, expect? Will the court just set up a payment sched for her to repay?jail? This was an unfortunate mistake 3 years ago and has just now been brought to her attention, any help would be greatly appreciated.
