It took me a while to read to question, but I don't agree with capital punishment. Yeah, if it's 100% proven that someone murdered someone, they deserve to die - kinda like revenge for the families of that murdered person, but if it were me I'd rather see the murderer spend the rest of their life in prison. However, hardly any prisoners nowadays serve their full sentence and some prisons are more like hotels! They have TVs, Pool Tables, what more do they want. I'd like to see a dirty dungeon, with straw to sleep on, no toilet etc and see the prisoner spend the rest of their life in there, I think dieing is an easier way out for them.

If murder is wrong, and the definition of murder is to intentionally kill a person. How can the state killing someone be right? Besides, DNA may be accurate, but how can you be sure that the source was placed specifically at the time of the murder?

DNA only forms part of the evidence required in securing a conviction against a criminal and while DNA as proved extremely
successful in the fight against crime there still are grey area's.
The Death Penalty is absolute and does not allow for errors or mistakes.

No, because if one person is killed for a murder they did not do then the people who killed them should then be put to death for premenitated murder of an innocent man.
How would you expect the fault to be resolved? The family will want justice for such a grave action against an innocent person.

Let's look at the facts. States with the death penalty have higher murder rates then those that don't, death penalty trials cost more than life imprisonment, and the death penalty has been issued in cases where there is no physical evidence, motive, weapon, or connection to the victims.

So, it doesn't deter crime, costs more, and doesn't deliver justice. The death penalty is good for politicians to pretend they're "tough on crime" and nothing else.
