The principle hired an attorney to do work on freeing an estate, but the POA that was doing the work on it with the attorney had 2 quick claims drawn up so that the POA would own the property, had them noterized without the Principal being present and ended up with the land unknown until recently. The attorney never sent the principal any paper work on the transaction or copies, they were found out by accident by the new POA. Is the attorney accountable for not representing the principal and how about the notery public that didn't witness the principals signature?

Insurance money came in and my bro said there was only 5,000 and he said he used it for funeral expenses. He made a big mistake he left a pile of checks totalling 35,000.00 to pay for stuff for his own personal use and gave my brother 10,000.00. How can i find out how much really came in? He has everything, my moms, house, car, all the way down 2 the lawnmower. He is a greedy bastard and i know my mom wouldnt have wanted this.

My Ex wife had a birthday party for my son. At this party photos were taken. She and other adults were passing around a pot pipe. The oldest son told me they offered it to him and he refused. But he did admit that the mother was giving him and my younger sons alcohol. Childrens services told me that it is legal for a parent to give their child alcohol.
But is is Legal for adults to smoke pot around children?
I cant afford a lawyer. I want to find out how I could file the paper work through the court alone. I'm not sure how to do it and what is the laws concerning this? Does anyone have any ideas where I can read about laws in Ohio and what I can do? She and her boyfriend are also involved in criminal activities that I dont care to discuss in this forum, but will only say that they are involving my sons in this too.

My daughter's biological dad and his girlfriend are harrassing us. She has been adopted by my husband and her biological father signed an agreement stating he would not bother any of us until after her eighteenth birthday, but he's not cooperating with that agreement. I called the police department to make a complaint against the daily onslaught of phone calls, e-mails, and instant messages from them. I have changed my number, email address, and IM name several times but they always come up with it somehow. The police department says that because they live in another state there is nothing that can be done about it- this doesn't sound right to me. Is it true?

my parents met this guy at a local restaraunt,he has no job, has "borrowed" money from them, accepted gifts, and has made numerous hints about he and his wife moving in with them. He claims to be very religious. My parents are church-goers and trust anyone that appears to share their beliefs. I am afraid that his true intention is to take advantage of them financially or worse.

Smoking is a choice that smokers make freely so they shouldn't be allowed to sue. Yet, tobacco executives who knowingly target the marketing of dangerous drugs to our children and who are purposely making those drugs more addictive and deadly should be liable for criminal charges like reckless endangerment or murder.

The Health Department has found that in the last 6 years the levels of nicotine in cigarettes has by design risen 10 %, making it harder to quit and easier to get hooked.

The study showed increased amounts of nicotine are now delivered to the lungs of smokers regardless of brand.

The study was done in Massachusetts as it is one of only three states that requires tobacco companies to submit information about nicotine.

Marlboro, Newport and Camel brands intensely marketed towards young smokers now deliver more nicotine than they did only a few years ago. More black smokers smoke menthols so it’s very significant that the nicotine in them rose more than 20 %.

Is there any strict definition of Enemy Combatant? If so, does it come from a court decision, Congressional legislation, or something the administration made up?

I have a 16 year old staying with my children and I. His father was here temporarily, after being bought out of their house. I thought the stay would be for a few months, but now the father has moved to his brother's house, and left the 16 year old here. The 16 year old has a job, but no driver's license. School is starting in 6 days, and with no way for me to contact his mother or father, I am not sure what to do.
What defines child abandonment? Is there an age restriction? I care for this kid, but he isn't mine, and I am tired of stepping up to the plate for the parent's blatant disregard for his welfare.

I'm considering going to law school. I have been a paralegal for three years now and I just am not as satisfied as I think I could be. I'd like to do less of the b.s. work and actually be able to be challenged. Simply pushing paper all day is mind numbing. My college professors all said I should go to law school...I just wanted some experience before I made the commitment.

I just want to know...if you had it to do all over again...would you? Do you think your profession has negatively or positively impacted your marriage or personal life? I may just be traumatized because I've seen workloads destroy home lives. Any advice and words of wisdom?

Thanks!

The president always justifies what many (including, recently, the courts) consider to be questionable surveillance practices by saying that they are simply trying to avoid "another 9/11" or a ten-fold 9/11 or any number of similar phrases, involving the words "nucular weapons" and "mushroom clouds". Yet when asked if these methods are effective, their best examples are the arrests of environmental activists whose practices cause destruction of property but who insist that they take precautions to prevent damaging humans, and who have caused no injuries. These groups are classified by the government as terrorists and were used as an example of how their surveillance efforts are necessary and successful. No group which causes similar property damage to abortion clinics, however, has been classified by this administration as terrorist.

Should these extreme surveillance techniques be used on every terrorist organization, or only those who have taken or express the will to take lives?
