You sue the parents unless he'an emancipated minor. In which case you have to sue the minor and get the judgemnt renewed every yr until the minor reaches the age of 18

Read all the answers so far......and most are too young to understand that if you use your insurance you pay for years for "them compensating you" for an accident that wasn't your fault. Best Bet is to call your insurance and ask if a minor can be sued for liability or if you have to go after the parents. Every state is different. Good Luck!

specific, you will possibly be sued even devoid of police rfile. you're at fault. You hit their motor vehicle. They weren't shifting. in case you have been blocked in, you ought to attend until eventually finally they circulate the motor vehicle, call the police, or call a tow truck. There may be harm whether you purely touched the different motor vehicle. yet, as you probably did say, you probably did hit their motor vehicle and bent the hood corner and fender. ( Now i'm getting an theory. grow to be that truly you using your motor vehicle? Ha Ha.

Why would you sue? Didn't he have insurance? Don't you? If there is insurance, let the insurance companies handle it. If there is no insurance and you need to go to court (small claims probably owuld be appropriate) you can sue both the minor and his parents individually and collectively.

Well, unless "you" were physically injured during the accident OR you KNOW that the kid wrecked your truck intentionally, why would you sue him/the parents? Why don't you just file a claim against their auto insurance policy????

Contact your insurance co. A.S.A.P they will lead you in the right direction, I believe you would be paid by their insurance co. does not matter if it's the parents or child the auto insurance covers them all but was it on private property? If so your insurance co. will have to take care of the damages... "No Fault" thing. call your insurance co. before you read any other replies! or at least while you are reading them Good luck!

Let your insurance company deal with it - the parents are responsible for the actions of their minor child.

You let the insurance companies deal with that. They have the police reports. If he was not insured, then it's their obligation to go after the party responsible. If YOU don't have insurance, then man, what the hell?
