If it is a right to work state, they can tell you to get lost.

Why would they have to pay you if you did not work those 2 weeks?

The question is by forcing you to leave sooner than expected, are they violating any laws about unlawful firing? I don't know MN law. Why not call your state labor board for help.

NOPE.

Two weeks notice is a courtesy, and no law forces any corporation to pay you for time you have not served. Specially if you live in a state were employment is 'At Will'.

if you dont work the 2 weeks. nope.
you were doing them a favor by letting them know, they chucked your favor and tossed you out.
they dont owe you anything except for hours worked.

assuming USA not only do they do not have to pay you, your are also ineligible to collect unemployment benefits since it's considered a voluntary quit

They may be AT-WILL employers they can say leave if you pass gas to fire at will with no excuse

No, but I think they have to pay you for unused vacation time - if you have accrued it..
