No, it is not legal for adults to smoke pot, and it is not legal for them to offer it to minors. Talk to a police officer.

Yes it is illegal. It is called contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Not only can she get in trouble for possesion, but doing it in the presence of a minor child is an aggravating event of that offense. Any crime that is committed in the presence of a child increases the penalties associated with it. In some cases it can up it from a misdemeanor to a felony...
For your son's protection, you might want to do some legal research on your own (there are legal libraries open to the public in many city halls) or contact one of the free legal advice services such as Tel. Law, that phone number is 1-800-452-4776.
Good luck to you!

I'm not sure what the child services person was thinking but it IS illegal for parents to give their children alcohol if it is not in observance of religion and it is most definitely illegal for a parent to give their children, or expose their children to, illegal drugs.
Child endangerment and failure for a parent to protect a child laws both fall under this category.
Your best bet is to go to the public library and look up laws regarding child endangerment or a request for full custody based on these incidents.
Get your hands on the pictures first though, because if you don't, she'll get rid of them at the first mention of legal paperwork.
Good luck!

It is considered to be endangering the welfare of the child to have a child present at a pot party. You can have a lock of your child's hair taken and analyzed as proof of this. It is probably not illegal to allow a child a small drink of alcohol because of the religious implications involved. But, to get your child intoxicated is illegal as well. Your ex sounds like a real winner. Good move on that divorce of yours.

Ohio - possession of marijuana is a misdemeanor ($100 dollar ticket) if less than 100 grams is found in one container. More than 1 container or more than 100 grams = felony possession with intent to distribute.
Your wife has custody. Did you used to smoke pot with her? Regardless, depending on the age of your sons and what kind of neighborhood they live in you might be able to find a recently divorced male cop who also lost custody and has a vendetta for ex wives. He might just arrest her for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, but don't count on it.
Children of divorce often blame their parents for being placed in the middle of a bad situation they did not create and play the parents by feeding their mutual disgust for one another. I'm sure that your son hit that pipe if it was offered, but i doubt it was if he is under 15 yrs old. Other than that, I suggest you spend your portion of your custody with your kids creating good memories instead of dragging them through the coals about their MOM and her activities each visit.

It's all illegal, children or not. There are just more crimes taking place if children are present. Your ex wife needs to be prosecuted. I would just present an anonymous tip to the local law enforcement agency. If child services told you that it was legal to give alcohol to children, they have lied to you. The legal term is "contributing to the delinquency of a minor".

each body is stupid and conceited and do not favor to take duty for his or her moves. She screwed up raising her toddler and now needs in charge the police. Did she learn about drugs? Did she recognize the position her toddler changed into going? If her 15 365 days old brat lied to her (and that ought to all excellent be the case), and then did inspite of she did with the intention to get into that 16+ get mutually (using her femininity to flirt her way in, or using a faux id, operating example), none of that crap is the authorities's fault. The blame lies on both the make certain and/or the toddler, yet like I suggested, maximum human beings don't have the decency to take duty. Is she going to sue? a useful quick dollar off her daughter's corpse.

Sounds like "child abuse" plain and simple. I didn't think "POT' was even legal in your state. We are working on it here in Canada. But here it is against the law to supply either to anyone under 19. Do you not have legal aid in the US? They are destroying your kids. Get them out asap. Good luck, sorry I can't be of some help.

Pot is illegal. I would talk to the police, show them the pictures. Besides the pot being illegal, she could also potentially be charged with child endangerment or contributing to the delinquency of a minor

Hmmmm.
Unless your in Amsterdam.
Its illegal for the kids, and its illegal for the pot-pipe-passing adults too! Shame on them, in front of the kids.
And if you as a parent, and guardian to your child have knowledge about potential situation that could endanger your children, but do nothing about it , then bigger:
Shame on you, too.
