Hmmm... Imagine a free democratic Iraq where we can buy oil from civil functioning Iraqi corporations; and taxes from oil sales build schools and streets. ... Is it ok to slaughter thousands of people to buy the dream? And how is killing "to protect our way of life" any different than the argument of the abortion seeker?

My parents told me I will inherit the land I currently live on. I have lived here for the past 4 and a half years. Before I moved in I was told I had a lifetime lease. When I remarried, my wife was told the same. I have invested over 20,000. dollars in our home. My mother has been threatening to evict us. Can she do this? What can I do to protect my investment?

This is the last thing on my mind but I cant help but think about it... My husband and I had a child with a ton of medical problems... He was in the hospital for 6.5 months and then was home for 5 month when he suddenly passed away.... We had nursing care for him almost around the clock through a nursing agency... We had some problems with some of the nurses.... I feel that it was their fault that he is not here any more... Is there something that I can do about this... He passed away in January but I am now thinking about what happened that day.... and thinking twice about the actual facts for that day.... Can anyone shed some light on this?

I mean in terms of celebrities getting off for crimes that a person who is not rich would get a longer jail sentence for. Or even getting house arrest. When was the last time you heard of someone getting house arrest that wasn't a celebrity? I guess money does make the man or for that matter the woman.

How exactly does the fetus die?

I'm just asking because they just conducted a new study of brain waves of premees at 24 weeks or older and it said conclusively that they experience pain.

Why do we call the murder of an everyday person "murder" and if a head of state is murdered it's called an "assassination"?

In Australia this is the case, non voters are fined. This system would give a "true" election, not the TV campaign to get as many voters out
as the spin doctors can.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" First amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America.
I admit marriage IS a religious notion, and I feel churches have every right to refuse marrying a gay couple if it is against the religion. BUT marriage is recognized by the government and married couples are granted special privileges. Therefore isn't the government promoting christianity, against the first amendment?
I feel that it is violating the first amendment since people can get married if they have no faith as long as they are heterosexual, but if they are gay then they cannot even get married by a judge.
All the aruments against gay marriage are religious ones, such as marriage is "sacred", and to argue as such violates the first amendment by mixing state and religion. I don't care if it's called something else, but if the state grants rights to one, they must grant rights to all.

Are the so-called "authorities" abusing their power by this means of denying us these basic civil / human Rights?

Is it correct or even lawful that an appeal is heard in the self-same court by the self-same magistrates that caused it?

My parents, as also my grandparents served as british "cannonnen fodder", in british uniform throughout the 1914-18, as also the 1938-45 conflict.

Why am I, also a brtish national / citizen, now denied, by law, any form of legal justice, as also the Right to Work as per:

Human Rights Act,
10/12/1948,
Geneva,
Article 6.

Do they call this democratic law enforcement, if so , how & why?

It has cost the taxpayers £175K / annum to keep me idle for the
past 5 yrs. I receive only a mere £3,300 / annum of this. They also refuse me rent / polltax rebate

This leaves me £1600 below the tax / breadline threshold of £4,900, itself only 25% of the national average.

Do they wish me to learn some form of crime as a trade, possibly contempt??

I've seen prior questions on boycotting gas. I commented saying if they choose the date, I will avoid buying gas on that date and I suggested that they email everyone else too. They've never emailed me. Hmm.. I guess they weren't serious. People need to put their ACTIONS where their mouths are. So, I've decided to take this little grassroots, movement on myself. It may not get off the ground but I'll do what I can, including emailing all those who posting they're interested.

Don't care if people still buy gas on this day. People said in answer to this question in prior posts that it is not worth it 'cuz there will always be someone who will buy gas. I'm not going to be defeatist about it. I'm not going to worry what others may do-just focus on my actions.

Personally, I'm doing this for the Earth- you may do it to lower gas prices, get back at Bush, whatever. If you want, join me. Email me too. I like the 13 of every month. I'll pick the most popular date among my replies. :)

After being arrested for possesion of a substance sale and petti-larcyn i decided it was time to get a laggit profession. I started with my cna and wanted to take it to the top.I graduated for the cna know i cannot get a job no where because of crime i done in 2005.I feel stuck, I have learned that doing the right thing is the hardess especially when all u know is what u have learned as a kid to get that fast money but all reality is hard money cause when u get caught u loose in alot of opportunities in life and the majority is Blks and latinos. Than they wonder why we are on welfare.. Cause we are the ones with a background who know one wants to hire.
I think we deserve a chance rather than wait to qulify to seal our records and pay a couple of hundreds for it , when we cannot work to pay that much money unless they take medicaid or foodstamps. what do you think? honest answers make me understand whatz going on in the U.S......
