I mean in terms of celebrities getting off for crimes that a person who is not rich would get a longer jail sentence for. Or even getting house arrest. When was the last time you heard of someone getting house arrest that wasn't a celebrity? I guess money does make the man or for that matter the woman.

They wanted to be treated like "normal" people when the paparazzi is following them around but the second they break a law they throw around their "status."

It's crap. They deserve the same punishment as anyone else.

In China we have a saying 'Moh cheng, moh meng' which means no money...no life, or as they say in Hong Kong, No money no talk which implies that if you have money you can shout. Yes, celebrity status affords velvet gloves while the blindfold slips over the eyes of justice.

I think it's great. I mean, I would think it was great if I was a celebrity. And i know plenty of people who get or have got house arrest, they are usually non violent drug offenders.

Wrong! Celebrities should be treated just as we would be. Martha Stewart go easy time for something I would still be doing 'hard' time for.
