United States Code Title 26, Subtitle A discusses and defines the "income tax" that U.S. citizens are supposedly required to pay. When I look at my paycheck stub or my W-2 forms, I do not see the word "income" anywhere; instead I see the word "earnings." How are these the same thing?

I have a situation with a woman under the age of eighteen who is set on marriage with her boyfriend in San Diego, California. I know you can get a marriage license if you have a parent consent and counseling for three hours. Now, here is my question. Her boyfriend is over the age of eighteen, and she is not. Technically, it is illegal for them to be together. Would that hinder the marriage for them? Are they even allowed to get engaged? What is the law on engagement with a minor? Please help. This young woman would be very appreciative. Please, do not type things like, "she shouldn't be getting married at that age anyway". I'm also just curious for my own information what the law is. I don't need opinions, thank you.

Kids from outside come in with other kids to play ball, in the cul da sac. Sometimes the balls hit garage doors and cars, the police say the kids can play there. As a home owner do I have the rights to keep them off my properity?

I know there is no real way to escape a criminal record, but is there anyway to downplay it? My husband is looking for a job in computers. Unfortunately he has a felony on his record from when he was 17! That was a long time ago but it is still on his record. He has been turned down by three places on account of his record. Is there anything that can be done or is one stupid drunken mistake five years ago something that will doom him to total sh!t jobs for the rest of his life?

We looked into expunging the felony. Unfortunately we can't have it expunged due to the nature of the conviction and the severity of the sentence.

To further complicate things he has a very serious heart condition (aeortic stenosis for any who care) that prevents him from physical /hard labor such as production or stocking. He wouldn't mind it but if he were to apply he would fail the physical. Man this sucks.

Its always darkest before the dawn right?

Use is still based on skin color. Today the "N" word is more of a greeting/term of endearment used by several races in the company of same race peeps. It's also considered relatively ok to use by a certain race, however, use of this word by other races(one in particular) is not considered ok, despite it's definition transformation.
Is the "N" word helping or hindering America's race relations?
Should it be ok for everyone to Use the new "N" word, spelling and definition or should no one be using it?
Why does this word still have soo much power??
Nia-Please...we had spicy-spyc food for lunch, let's go to that chin-chink place downtown, the one owned by that hook-nosed ju, that towel-head cabbie knows the address, the one who picked us up from that redneck-crackerazz trailor park, I almost forgot, that fine biatch from Diversity class told me she likes you. Sorry, u r right, just cause we're both part Native American doesn't make it ok to call her...*(overheard on the subway)

I took a girl I saw for a month to small claims court. She didn't show up so I won by default and she did not appeal it. They said I'd need to know either where she worked, where she banked or what property she owned to start garnishment. She was fired from the job she had when I knew her and we never discussed banking or owning property nor do we have any mutual friends. How do I go about finding these out without hiring someone or breaking any laws like stalking?

Should it be repealed or encouraged? Is there a downside for the Actionee, or for other African Americans in general? What are your thoughts?

anymore pregnancy is a punishment, not the blessing that it should be. i've always held that pregnancy should be licensed and sanctioned, in this day and age, it appals me that there is more training and testing involved in driving a car! but biology gives every idiot the right to pilot a human life!
something about that just feels very wrong to me.
there should be evaluations, screenings. people who are clearly unfit (like active drug users, mentally ill med non-compliant, teen and preteen, known abusers, ghetto moms pumping out kids for a living) , and sittuations where the quality of sed child's life will be substandard; these mothers ought to be given a choice.
adoption or abortion. these "ladies" (using the term loosely) need to be prevented by the state from inflicting themselves a pure being.
i had a daughter at 20. i was very irresponsible. my daughter suffered for it. now, at 32, i have a son(3), and my daughter(11) lives with my mom, and she is a very happy little girl
