information on father's death?

My father was murdered in 1984, somewhere in Texas. How might I find information on his death, such as the date, where in Texas, who did it (it was his wife's sister's husband but don't know any names.), where he was buried.......

you may check out a court house in Texas for a death certificate. That may be your best bet You may also go and look up deaths in that year and try to narrow it down. Good Luck
