It isn't really that difficult to figure out. They broke the law, the punishment is deportation therefore you deport them. Even if it took tens of billions of dollars, it could still happen because a) the USA is the richest country in the world, and tens of billions is about how much one month of the Iraq war costs.

http://www.kgw.com/news-local/stories/kgw_101307_news_delmonte_suit.169cbccd2.html

"The complaint was filed by Maria Del Pilar Delgado and Abdia Cortez Liberio, who lost their jobs when federal immigration officials raided the Portland plant and arrested 167 employees on immigration violation charges.

The lawsuit claims Del Monte refused to pay overtime for more than 10 hours worked in a day, underpaid workers by 30 minutes every day and would not provide required 10-minute rest periods and half-hour meal breaks. "

Should we feel sorry for Del Monte?

I don't, do you?

Hi,Im indian national and my fiance is british.I was refused Fiance visa to Uk on the grounds that my fiance then was still legally married to her Ex husband.(was undergoing divorce)
We were suggested to apply for a Appeal by a solicitor.
Now she is divorced her final decree has come through.
We feel that the ECO had prejudices becoz of our age difference, which is about 25years.
Is this difference too much? we are genuinly in love with each other for two years. She has visited me over 13times in this span, and we have a million letters and emails etc..
What are the chances our appeal is given in our favour?
We both have been under going severe depression for past 1 years becoz of this,We were denied visa on9th may2007,still under going appeal.which is likely to happen on 15th oct.

If what I am reading is true (that illegal immigrants pay taxes) then it seems the I.R.S. is collecting them and effectively working against the goals of both Social Security and Homeland Security.

I was not aware that aliens paid taxes (apart from sales tax). If this is true, how does an illegal immigrant file an income tax report?

Are there any illegal immigrants out there who can explain this process to me?

Bi-lingual signs promote Illiteracy(unwillingness to speak English and assimalte into society), and keeps immigrants poor, and out of good paying jobs...

Or maybe someone WANTS to keep picking lettuce, and cleaning toilets...you see you can't have it both ways. Just liek someone going to a job interview with spikes in there forehead, tattoo's on their arms, it will be VERY tough to become a professional in America if you can't speak English.

They are not Americans. They are illegal every way you put it. Why should we bend the rules for them? And if they really wanna be "Americans", then they need to follow the laws.

I go to school where almost all of my friend's families are illegal immigrants. They live in crammed apartments with 3 families and their parents all work in factories, construction or waitressing (not that those jobs are bad, at leats they are bringing in money for their families.) they are all great people who are not at fault- their parents brought them here and it is not fair for people to be so prejudiced againgt it. I am against illegal immigration, but don't blame kids who grow up in America and its their parents fault they are illegal! They can't go to college or get a good job wothout being legal, blame their parents for bestowing those hardships on them. If they try to become legal, they might just get deported. That has happened to people I know.

Mex singer Thalia is married to Mariah Carey's ex. She has become a citizen of the USA. She took the oath: http://www.uscis.gov/propub/ProPubVAP.jsp?dockey=66b4b789f87b2074d9da1887c2c48424
The first words: "I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen;". In other words, when she became a U.S. citizen, Thalia swore that she was renouncing her Mexican citizenship.
Here's what Thalia said,"This morning I acquired United States citizenship. Nevertheless, under the laws of my country, Mexico, I can also have Mexican citizenship." http://www.los40.com/articulo/noticias/Thalia/consigue/nacionalidad/estadounidense/conservara/mexicana/l40actn01/20060125l40l40not_2/Tes/

Why is it that when speaking of the other nationalities, we describe them as follows: Blacks (African AMERICANS), Mexicans (Latin AMERICANS), Asians (Asian AMERICANS), Indians (Native AMERICANS), Arabs (Arab AMERICANS), Whites (Caucasian) huh? Please, why are whites just caucasian? Im sorry, but I earned my right as an American, I gave 6 years of my life in defending this country in the Military. Well, I guess we are called "Wetto", "Honkey", "White Boy", "Cracker", "Whitey", and any other name other than American. Somebody please help me out on this one. All Nationalities welcomed please.
