Getting citizenship to join the U.S. Marines?

I am a Canadian citizen and I want to join the Marines. Can anyone tell me what the best option I have to be accepted to enlist?

Apply in the US Marines and after residing for a long period within the US, apply for American citizenship.

Come to the u.s.a. go to a recruiter and join , after 2 or 3 years of military service you will become an American citizen
