CONCORD, N.H.—If Presidential hopeful Tom Tancredo had his way, New Hampshire lawmakers behind an immigration bill would be thrown out of office and prosecuted for helping illegal immigrants. "If they actually implemented it, you bet. It's aiding and abetting. I think that's a pretty clear violation of the federal law," he said Wednesday of the bill, which would prohibit state and local authorities from enforcing federal immigration laws.

Tancredo, a Colorado congressman who has staked his long-shot campaign for president on his vehement opposition to illegal immigration, acknowledged some legal obstacles likely would prevent prosecuting state lawmakers over proposed legislation. Otherwise, "I'd be more than willing to pursue it," he said. Mayors and city councilors who adopt sanctuary city policies also should face criminal charges, he said.

Tancredo supports building a fence along the border with Mexico and strictly enforcing existing immigration laws, including deporting all illegal immigrants.

Visiting Concord ahead of an evening debate of Republican presidential candidates at the University of New Hampshire, Tancredo dove into state politics, demanding the ouster of the bill's sponsors—Democrats Lily Mesa of Manchester and Susi Nord of Candia—though he did not mention them by name. He also urged Gov. John Lynch, a Democrat, to speak out against the bill.

"It is a terrible idea and we need the governor to say something about it, for instance, 'I will veto any attempt to make New Hampshire a sanctuary state,'" Tancredo said.

I dont understand how Pros think that the ILLEGALS are the same as people who have done everything ro get here LEGALLY. Even the immigrants of the past who came through Ellis Island were LEGAL. And our country was built by LEGAL immigrants, There is no comparison, what is so hard to understand about that?

.....deer and stealing livestock on our property. We don't have that problem with any of the locals who respect each others property rights. I guess they feel if they can cross the border illegally that they can do whatever they want whenever they want?

We are not a border state by the way. I'm talking 'bout Arkansas.

I asked this question yesterday and most of the people that answered didn't even read my question. Here is again,PLEASE READ!Mexicans DON'T need a visa to enter Canada, there a LOT of programs designed for mexicans ONLY for LEGAL employment. Why stay illegal in US,waive your flag and demand rights from country that doesn't owe you anything?I use to support amnesty until illegals strarted screaming "wet backs".If mexicans are so proud and it's all about better life why they don't go work where they are wanted?

It is my understanding that Mexico is going to be able to commute to America hauling merchandise via trucks. They will be here tomarrow. They do not fall under US and State guidelines. Isn't this opening the gates for terrorists and more illegal immigrants?

My wife is obviously Russian, our daughter was born in US. Traveling to Russia is a real pain if you are not a Russian citizen. You can spend literally days of your vacation waiting in lines and getting papers processed. My wife says that listing our daughter in her Russian passport (which she still has even though she is an American citizen...) will eliminate all these problems. Has anyone else done this? Is there anything to be worried about?

A lot of you accused me of not knowing the difference between legal and illegal immigration. So I will put forward the following question.

You say, your issue is with the ILLEGAL immigrants and the problems that arise as a direct result of the immigration being illegal. i.e taking jobs of other Americans because they work for less money, turning to crime and other illegal ways of making money due to restrictions

This is your premise, right. You all said so in the previous question that I asked.

So given that premise, why dont you believe in an open border policy?

I mean if these immigrants were suddenly legitimised, suddenly employers would have no benefit in hiring them over other Ameircans, as they would have to pay them minimum wage...it would all be equal. Crime would go down, we would have a rich influx of culture.

This is your logic btw, you said it was the illegals you had issue with, not the legals.

?????????

I have come to the conclusion you cannot win in this category on Answers. If you answer a question regarding illegal immigration, the La Raza gang will jump on you and call you racist names (white sh*t, pendejo, etc.). And you end up being the one getting violation notices when you have not uttered one racist slur.
I am not going to bother with this category anymore. My freedom of speech has been taken away here and given over to the illegals.
I am going to double my effort in real life to make sure immigration reform really happens. I will be bugging my congressmen non-stop, and doing anything else I can. I will not lose my right of speech in the real world and especially in my own country. La Raza may control Answers, but not the US. Not now and not ever. So help me God and God bless America.

I was Rosemary Chicken, a name that comes from a joke among my friends. But I am not chicken. I will fight back, in a place where it really matters.

Foxnews has something where you can submit your own questions. I was thinking of asking this of Guliani but haven't sent it yet. What do you think?

"When you were mayor of NYC you gave everyone here illegally taxpayer funded benefits because you didn't know what else to do with them. As President, would you continue to discourage illegal immigration by rewarding them with taxpayer funded services and a special path to citizenship, or would you enforce the existing laws and try to make it difficult to live here illegally?"

It's not front story news in the US for obvious reasons, but everyday there are immigrant mostly women and children being shot and murdered at the border. The minutemen are the suspected assasins, yet they're being held as heroes protecting our borders. I don't think too many people would be as supportive if they saw the gruesome results of their actions.

Considering we are in a way against radical muslims, and that in Europe and the US they are demanding special privileges and constantly threaten to kill everyone, I was wondering who decided we'd benefit from letting these people into our country and Europe. What it the food, dancing, or way of thinking about life? Was it the footbaths, turbins, murdering people who they disagree with and praising Allah while threatening death to America?

Whenever there is a story about another potential or actual terrorist attack whether its in the US, Madrid, London, or Germany, I always wonder who made the decision to let the people who trained in terrorist camps to come to that country.

Out of all the people in the world, what is it about muslims that makes them so desirable that we're willing to be killed to bring them in? I don't recall large amounts of German language and culture being imported in WW2 or Russian in the cold war.
