Why are so many people wanting Italian Dual Citizenship? Is there something special about it?

I agree that with Italian Citizenship, you can live and work in the EU, and have an early retirement, not to mention the free medical and education which is not available to Americans. I guess having good food, clothes, and great freedoms are other reasons for having Dual Citizenship

If you have dual citizenship,you can work in both the USA and in any Eu country. I would think that would be the reason.

Might it also be that the age of retirement in Italy is 55 for men. So you get to enjoy the state pension much younger.

u must be joking! thanks, i needed a good laugh today. who in their right mind would want to be an Italian citizen?!?! Italy is so wack, you couldn't pay me enough to be a citizen of there.
