The United States is not ready to War with Mexico until Iraq is emancipated.
Once our troops get back from Iraq the Federal Government will be begin what is called "Operation Peticoat" which will start gathering up all illegals and sending them back to Mexico where those dirty bastards need to be and the fence will go up the third War will begin and that War will last for several years and thousands of Mexicans will die from this War and when it's over. The fence will come down/new rules for immigration will start and Mexico will be emancipated like Iraq.

I say forget the fence. Dig a moat and put alligators all around it. Ya know, since the border patrol aren't allowed to do their jobs without getting sent to prison by our own government. They can't put an alligator in prison for having a midnight snack.

Yeah, right, and we've ended world hunger too.

17 miles of the wrong sort of fence I believe, with $800 million on hand to build what was approved last October. And they wonder why we are pissed.

HAH!!! with only 17 miles completed it will take forever to finish. President Bush doesn't want it completed. It is not due to be completed until next year sometime and it won't happen. President Bush is pushing for the Super Highway and he is laughing at the US citizens who are concerned about the joining of Mexica, Canda and the US... stupid "Jelly Bean" conference!!!

It will never be "completed".

There are literally hundreds of undergound smuggling tunnels from California to Texas.

Mexican trucks can now freely pass into the US wihtout strict inspections.

Building a wall at this point would be like buying a fire extinguisher after the house has already burnt down.

And anyways, President Hillary is just going to pass Amnesty whether we like it or not.

Something like 20 miles is completed

You might have to wait 20 years to see 700 miles finish

My concept of the mine field from Tijuana to the Gulf of Mexico wouldn't take very long to finish

if we intered them to make the illegals work on the fence and also had trained snipers overlooking the wall they could shoot anyone who tries to come over
