"I love my job. Retail is such a rewarding expirience. The only thing I love more than lagging behind 11 pm to fix displays messed up by 6-year-olds playing mortal combat in the aisles is hearing this man, my boss, ask me in such a non-condescending manner to speak the native language. I responded to dave like this. I speak English flawlessly. But I feel that the language simply does not do you justice. There is no sentence I can formulate in the English language that could adequiately convey que clase de estupido, imbecil, ignorante, malcriado, hijo de gran perra that you are The oldest city in this country is a city called St. Augustine in a place called Florida both established by Spaniards on a land that did not belong to them No one spoke a word of English. And up until a little while ago, half of this country was Mexico. When you tell me this is America, I should know because I speak Spanish The only difference between us is the origin of our conquistadores. Is that your jaw on the floor, Dave? Good morning, Papi I was born here too. Watched Jersey slowly turn brown as it grew to love pasteles at Christmas time respect our abuelas and fear the wrath of the almighty chancleta and people like me negotiated car deals and insurance policies, called DMV and PSE&G, because if we didn't, people like you would run circles of English around our exclusively Spanish-speaking parents My father cleaned floors with his blood my mother suffers from permanant pelo malo and to this day, bank tellers speak to me as if I only learned how to count that morning but I'm ok with that. While you grumble about how these dirty sp*cs ought to learn English or go home keep in mind this dirty sp*c has a 3.5 GPA this dirty sp*c is unafraid to say what may get him fired, because this dirty sp*c daydreams like Picasso who wasn't American either. Niether was Pablo Nierda Salvador Dali Simon Bolivar Jose Marti salsa marengue bachata saoco San Juan Quisqueya dulce de coco poesia agua bendita madres gritando Ave Maria ¡Mira! ¡Menso! ¡Vete tu pa'l carajo! Oh. You didn't understand what I said. Well, allow me to translate. Dave. I said. This is America. Speak what you d*mn well please." -Rich Villar

From the article;

"With no prospects this year for passing broader immigration changes, House GOP leaders said taking action to seal the border was a matter of urgency. Some GOP lawmakers including Sen. Arlen Specter (news, bio, voting record), R-Pa., however, have said they're not sure immigration could be addressed "on a piecemeal basis."

Frist said he is willing to push ahead with a narrower version favored by House Republicans. Even so, action may not be possible before the November elections, he said, blaming Democrats.

"If you're going to address immigration reform, you have to first and foremost secure our borders," he said on ABC's "This Week." "What I've done, and hopefully what we'll be voting on the floor of the Senate this week, is take the common parts of the House bill and the common parts of the Senate bill."

I read this from a site with information on the lottery:

"Each of one these six regions are divided into high and low admission quotas. A greater portion of the visas go to the low admission regions as opposed to high admission regions which will be entirely excluded from the lottery. (see list of countries which are not eligible). No single country may receive more than 7% of all allotted visas."

What are exactly the quotas for each country? I want to know what my actual odds are. Isn't there a list of all countries with their specific admission quotas anywhere?

Thank you so much in advance,

I look forward to reading your answers.

The argument that no human is illegal kinda makes me wonder about the murderers, rapist, thieves, fraud by identity theft, are they illegal? Do people who illegally come into our country become exempt from obeying our laws?

What reasoning is there to the premise that being a lawbreaker is OK?

The first amendment guarantees the freedom of assembly or to protest on the streets peacefully when you are displeased with something. Many people say Undocumented workers have no rights in this country. But so far millions of undocumented workers have been taking advantage of the first amendment.

How many anti-immigration people have actually marched on the street taking advantage of this constitutional right? Does this make Undocumented workers in a sense more "American" than actual citizens?

It seems to me that in the last couple of months the only people on the immigration issue who have been doing any work at all to get their point across are immigration supporters. I hear about the "outraged Americans" and how they're sick and tired of "illegals". But so far I haven't seen any of them marching the streets. Are they not outraged enought to do so?

It has been on the news that illegal Latinos (some) have formed gangs. It has also been reported that the Black gangs (Crypts and Bloods) have gotten together to fight the Latino gangs.

My question is, "Does it really matter if these low lifes kill each other"?

Doesn't it solve problems for the law abiding people?

Why would anyone care about their war with the exception of innocent people being hit in the crossfire?

Illegal immigration is a hot issue. The vast majority of Americans want them deported yet our politicians are doing little to nothing about it. They are supposed to represent the majority.

Realistically speaking, what do you thing will be the final outcome of this entire issue? Please do not tell me what you want to happen but what you think will actually happen.
Deportation? Amnesty? Partial deportation? Path to citizenship? What do you think?

A house is something that you own it's yours alone. A Country is not privately owned. So why does everyone keep posting that analogy ? It does not make sense, when compareing the illegal immigrants.

What part of illegal is confusing? It simply means "against the law". And the last time I checked, those who break the law in this country are held accountable for their actions. So why do "illegal immigrants" expect anything more than prosecution? And why do they get anything other than prosecution? If I, as a taxpayer and legal citizen, break a law, I have to pay the consequences. What makes illegal immigrants immune to the law? Because they are here illegally? That tells me they are willing to break laws, which are designed to keep our society in check. Where is the confusion at? Illegal means against the law, period. There is no gray area. There are legal ways to immigrate - people do it every day. Our social programs were intended to care for our citizens who required assistance, not for those who start their stay here by breaking a law to be here in the first place.

Does anyone else see how infinitly simple this really is?

I was at a boy scout meeting where boys of different ethnic backgrounds were forced to say the Pledge of Allegiance. With justice and freedom for all? Isn't this a hypocrisy? Where is the justice? Where is the freedom? Unwanted children. Maybe they should blame their parents for crossing illegaly into the US? What do you think?

A few years ago I was a volunteer in the Domestic Violence courts in Phoenix as a liaison because I speak Spanish. While I was there I saw countless men of Hispanic heritage that were being tried for domestic battery
against their spouse /girlfriends.Our court rooms are adjacent to the CPS court rooms where child abusers were tried for their crimes. The number of Hispanic being charged far our numbered any other race or culture
That's not indicative of good family values to me.And yes there were men/women of other races too,but the majority were Hispanic.I know there are good values in all races, and Hispanics arent perfect,no matter how many times its said.

Keeping her question and my answer in mind...I get an e-mail from her that states "And I'm extremely glad that I do not." This tells me a couple things. One: She doesn't live around trashy illegal and legal immigrants to even understand my plight. Two: Is she forgetting that there are many other issues regarding immigration (legal or not) that exeed issues of litter and loud music?

Uneducated people who do not have to deal with immigrants 3rd world mantalities should stop preaching about things that they are not directly effected by.

YOUR THOUGHTS?
